The 9 Isles Posted January 30 Posted January 30 (edited) Conspiracy theories aside it is undeniable the huge boost that Swift has given the Chiefs and the NFL especially with the broadened appeal to casual female viewers. The NFL couldn't have designed this outcome any better. Quote NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said earlier this year that the romance is “great” for the NFL, and now there’s financial data to back that up. Quote “Listen, they’re happy,” Goodell said in November. “They seem to be enjoying their relationship. That’s great in and of itself. But it has connected more fans of Taylor’s and more fans of the NFL in some ways. To see that they have a connection, now they have a connection to our game and to Taylor.” Quote The pop megastar has been a financial boon for the NFL and for the Kansas City Chiefs in the wake of her romance with star tight end Travis Kelce, according to a new report. Front Office Sports recently reported that Swift has created a “brand value” of $331.5 million for the Chiefs and the NFL, citing data from Apex Marketing Group https://nypost.com/2024/01/29/sports/taylor-swift-has-generated-330-million-for-nfl-amid-travis-kelce-romance/ Edited January 30 by The 9 Isles 1 1 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted January 30 Posted January 30 (edited) cool. As soon as the Bills are out from now on I want KC to win it all. I want Mahomes to tie Brady in rings if the Bills can't be in it. Edited January 30 by TheFunPolice 1 17 2 3 2 1 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted January 30 Posted January 30 and here I was thinking this was going to be some sort of Monsters Inc. renewable energy fueled by hate theory or something. 2 minutes ago, TheFunPolice said: cool. That's only a worst case scenario positive outlook, a lot more terrible things have to happen before we reach that point. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted January 30 Posted January 30 even better, I hope Brady is calling the Super Bowl when Mahomes wins #7. If we're going to suffer at least Patriots fans should too. LOL 4 4 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Things would be so much better if the halftime entertainment was 'Up With People'! 🤔🤨😇 2 2 Quote

BuffaloBillyG Posted January 30 Posted January 30 The NFCCG had more viewers than the AFCCG. So, no. No "huge boost". 2 Quote

Both are bonfires of a player who when at their best are basically unstoppable but also can be a bit up and down. That (and McDermott's obsession with paying guys on defense instead of offense) might limit Allen to a couple shots at the SB. Mahomes is a lot like Brady actually, just always there. Even in a down year he's in the SB. He'll have better weapons in the future. To get 7 rings you need to have a couple Panthers and Rams super bowl wins mixed in there, where you're kind of not the same team but win anyway. 3 minutes ago, GETTOTHE50 said: You really want to hear the never ending debate between mahomes and Brady? Yeah, I really don’t think the NFL cares enough about a pop-star to rig the entire league in the Chiefs favor. There are 31 other billionaires that wouldn’t be happy with that. And for many of them ego > money. 3 3 Quote

I've always been a fan of Andy Reid and I cannot stand Belichick. Brady or anything that comes from the Patriots. I want the Bills there first and foremost, but failing that, anything that threatens the "GOATs" from NE is good with me. For me it's a simple question: what do Patriots fans want? I want the opposite. Edited January 30 by TheFunPolice 1 Quote
