That being said, your post is true and illustrates the idiocy of our electorate (on both sides) Some people take their political cues from celebrities and others from people like Catturd.

Doc Posted January 30 Posted January 30 6 minutes ago, John from Riverside said: In the first court, proceeding Trump was convicted of sexual assault Not rape but you really want to split split hairs here It wasn't a conviction because it was civil court. And it wasn't rape: he was found liable for sexual abuse. And to your original question, yeah, it bothers me that someone was found liable for something when there was zero proof he did it. Again if all it takes is an allegation and that's how you want to play it, then Joke raped, or at least sexually abused, Tara Reade. 1
Capco Posted January 30 Posted January 30 1 hour ago, KDIGGZ said: I believe voting is an essential part of the democratic process and I fully support and strongly recommend all citizens exercise their right to vote. Having said that, I have not voted myself as I have felt jaded that my vote doesn't count (living in NY) and the Democrat is going to win either way. I would definitely not share that information publicly (in real life) and I would probably be upset if someone with a strong opinion told me that they did not plan on voting. It sounds very hypocritical, I am very aware of this. I just personally have not liked the options presented to me and have not felt that it was worth my time to vote. Quick story, but when I was 18 I was excited to vote for the first time. I was at school and I thought after my classes I would go down to the polls but as I was getting ready they had already called NY. How can they call it when I didn't even vote yet? Ever since then I felt like why even bother, this electoral system is stupid and my vote doesn't matter. I think everyone else should vote and if it comes down to 1 vote I'll feel like a jerk but typically it's going to go how it's going to go around here (Dem wins, doesn't matter how much of a piece of crap they are). I'd be more likely to vote in a local race. If I lived in the city of Buffalo I would have voted for Byron Brown as I'm 100% against socialism/communism and perhaps in a race like that my vote would matter. In the meantime, I like reading other people's opinions to gauge where the country is as a whole. I don't subscribe to any political party and I don't like the extremes of either side. It feels more and more that 1 side is gaining too much power and influence and I'll fight that as much as I can and tell people how ignorant I think they are to their face and maybe that form of political activism is more persuasive than 1 additional vote. Or at least I like to think so. Thank you for your openness and candor! It was good, clear writing too. While the congressional, gubernatorial, and presidential elections in NY are decidedly Democratic in outcomes, it hasn't stopped me from voting. Especially locally. I took a class in law school called Current Topics in Local Government and it was a great experience. The main takeaway was how much more local municipalities directly affect the day to day lives of their citizens. Despite this, they have disproportionately low turnouts. I'd strongly encourage you to vote in local elections. It's a precious gift even if it's diluted at times. 1
SCBills Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Didn’t it come out a year or two ago that Kelce voted for Trump? I remember this because it was a crisis in black Twitter around the time he and and his ex broke it off, given every black woman on there seemingly had a crush on him. I don’t know that it would dissuade her from getting political anymore than the fact Biden is incredibly unpopular and we now have years of experience under his presidency. It’s no longer the hope of Biden vs mean old Trump.

BillStime Posted January 30 Posted January 30 It’s fn hilarious how all these alpha males here and on Twitter are so afraid of a female billionaire. And oh - don’t forget Elon’s version of fReE sPeEcH: And Reed hits it on the head…. Notice all the anti gay threads around here - the oh so ALPHA MALES are hands down the most insecure freaks out there and probably 100% closet cases who are married and too afraid to come out. Right Karen? Doc? Bonnie?

Considering that both candidates are very old, the First Lady being a doctor gives me some comfort about rolling Joe out another 4 years. I think Biden will have more of his faculties remaining by 2028 than Trump will. 1 3
