The Bills and McD have outperformed them over the last 6 years and the Ravens have the benefit of the mvp and 3 first team all pros this year vs the Bills single 2nd team all pro yet still lost to the same team at home as the Bills did.

 

Or does a super bowl 11 years ago followed by a single afc title game appearance this year carry that much water? 

 

Recent history and performance clearly favors McD so I am very interested to hear opinions of Harbaugh and whether he should keep his job or be fired.

It’s the identical situation as McDermott… maybe a little worse considering Baltimore was the #1 seed last season.  The only difference is that Harbaugh won a championship 13 years ago.

Personally I find this more incriminating on Lamar than Harbaugh.  I get why as a franchise you cant let a guy like that walk, and at the same time the risk there is Team Success Purgatory.  If there was ever a year Lamar had his best chance to do it, it was this year with this surounding cast.

 

Easy for me to say with no mulltimillion dollar, secure job on the line... and I said this at the time... but they shouldve traded Lamar.  They were and are hovering right at their ceiling..... so what do you want as an owner/coach/fanbase..... guaranteed winning season over all else?  Or do you possibly trade 'consistent regular season wins' for a potentially higher ceiling?

 

If Im GM or Coach, I wont lie; im keeping that formula.  Very high risk!   Now as a fan, theyve won twice, maybe thats good enough!  I really wouldnt blame them

 

If Im a fanbase like Buffalo w/ McD, and I think were stuck at a ceiling; I might be willing to get more aggressive.  Luckily, for now at least--- I think McD is near but not at his full ceiling, BUT Josh is showing us each year his ceiling get a little higher.  THAT Josh + this McD -- can and should get it done.  

 

However, if we watched Joshs game plateau at what its at now... and we hit another 2-3 year skid; losing in 2nd or 3rd rd.... then im willing to take try for the Phil Jackson/Doug Collins gamble

What gets me is that some Bills fans don't realize that the ONLY NFL HC that's been better than McD over the last five seasons has been KC HC Andy Reid.

 

THE ONLY ONE! Fans thinking that the grass is greener with a different HC are forgetting the nearly two decades of losing this franchise went through along with the seven bad HCs we fans had to endure over that time. 

 

Reid with Mahomes is akin to Brady/Belichick in NE for nearly a decade. The KC Chiefs have what has kept the Buffalo Bills from reaching the Super Bowl.

 

The Ravens might have had a slightly better roster this year...but it was the three turnovers that won the game for the Bills. The thing is... the Buffalo coaching staff teaches various ways to strip the ball and they constantly work at doing just that. Lady Luck might have had something to do with the way that ablong spheroid bounced too. It's about time it bounced that way! Lets hope it continues! 😁
