I think the Mike Williams contested-catch type is not the type to bank on, personally.

Ā

You might be surprised to know that I almost always agree with this. The first time I saw Coleman's profile was "contested catch specialist" I was out on him. But the more I've seen the more I have liked him. He has more nuance to his route running than the moniker would have you believe. He also moves very well with the ball in his hands. Not going to speed by guys of course but he will bully through him and fight for tough extra yards. Mike Williams is a pure contested catch specialist with really nothing else to write home about. And even he has two 1000 yard seasons on his resume, he has just unfortunately dealt with a ton of injuries.

Just watched Coleman. No thanks. Not saying he won't be a good WR in this league. But we need outside speed and explosion.Ā  Beane and McDermott said that themselves. Mitchell if he drops, Franklin, and McConkey opened my eyes as well.

Legette has a huge frame for a WR

Deebo vibes!!! Would he fall to us in second? Probably not.

Up until that Mitchell run I was all but convinced he would slide down to 28 and be the pick...

Ā

4.35 with a 1.52 10 yd split... 39.5" vert, 11.33' broad jump...

Ā

Let's see what you've got BBB...Ā B-)

Gotta say, I'm disappointed in Troy Franklin's time.

Ā

That's not to say 4.41 is slow. It's just his "elite" speed is what separated him from others for me and made it easier to look past his skinny frame.

more like DK Metcalf just shorter

This is why I've been all about him. You don't get 4.39 on a body like that every day.

Thomas, Mitchell, Legette -- Bills have to land one of them in the first. I don't want to hear about Chop Robinson. Get Josh WR talent and start seeing other teams scared to play us because they can't stop us. Miami does that with Tua at QB, and some folks here think it's fine to waste Josh Allen on mid-round WRs and modest free agents. It's criminal neglect. Thankfully, this is the draft to make up for it.

Mitchell to me is an example of why the combine is dangerous for evaluation. Suddenly because of his 40 time he is a 1st round talent. But everything I've read and watched on him shows that he is an inconsistent route runner and struggles against press coverage and isn't a particularly high-effort player. Very impressive 40 time but it changes nothing. The tape doesn't lie.

Of the guys we realistically have a shot at where we're picking, Mitchell is the guy I am targeting.Ā  The problem is, his workout is maybe going a little too well.Ā  We might have to trade up to the late teens to get him.Ā

Ā

The last thing I want is for us to sit on our hands if there is a guy at 17, 18, 19 that we really like and watch another WR needy team actually do what it takes to get there ahead of us.Ā  The Chiefs have already done that to us in the past, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them be aggressive to get the guy they want to again.Ā  We have to be active.

someone was on WGR the other day talked about how hard he worked last year to become the player he is. Ā
Ā

his shoulder width looks unbelievable for a WR. He might only be 6ā€™1 but with a 40 inch vertical he can play 6ā€™3 - 6ā€™4

McConkey looked fake that was so cleanĀ

Soooo smooth, he is really impressive when you add in that 40 time. Just wonder if he's a classic outside threat. Probably will be a monster in slot but we have our guy in ShakirĀ
