JMM Posted January 25 Posted January 25 If he was being fired wouldn't we have likely heard by now? To me it would be a surprise. Not saying it was all his fault(like Bass becoming a head case), but overall for the season the ST was an absolute dumpster fire. It's unacceptable. We have enough issues to deal with let alone not being to count on good consistently sound ST. Like Marv used to say, its 1/3 of the team and as important as the O and D. 2 4 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I really hope not. ST was atrocious at times this year. 1 1 7 1 Quote
Dick_Cheney Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Dude shouldn't have even been allowed to finish the regular season. Atrocious. 2 4 1 3 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) I don't see how. But McDermott was very complimentary of Smiley. He seems to love the yes men and scapegoats. Edited January 25 by MrEpsYtown 1 4 2 Quote
Allen2Moulds Posted January 25 Posted January 25 It was all around bad. The worst it's been, considering all that we invest in special teams. 4 1 Quote
Doc Posted January 25 Posted January 25 No need to make the decision quickly but he better be gone. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted January 25 Posted January 25 another special teams blunder that costs the team a win and McDermott will have to fire the DC this time around. 1 Quote
Eastport bills Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Bass is a great kid and I thought he would be our PK for the rest of the decade. Now, I wouldn’t trust him to kick an extra point to win a game. He can’t walk into next season anointed as the presumptive starter. 1 1 Quote

GunnerBill Posted January 25 Posted January 25 The Bills are not a quick fire team on this stuff. Quote
Billl Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Didn't they just return a kickoff for a TD on week 18 that basically won the division? Those plays have a lot more to do with a good special teams coach than whether a kicker chokes or not, IMO. 3 Quote

Yes they did but the return game both ways overall has been worse than recent years. 1 Quote

Otherwise they'd be common occurrences. 1 1 1 Quote
