He totally got rocked by his brother in the Super Bowl his 2nd year after two straight NFC Championship games and one win. What a hack. 1 1 Quote

That's huge. It’s not about QB development it’s about the teams he has to go through it’s a little different than when he was in Frisco. In his own division he has Mr Mahomes to deal with twice a year alone. Quote

Lol he basically ended USCs run in the PAC 12, went to the NFL and only managed 3 NFC championship games in 4 years in the same division as the legion of boom, then went to Michigan and remade the program. Also worth noting, prior to his arrival, Stanford, the 49ers, and Michigan were all dumpster fires. 1 1 Quote

They will be aggressive, physical, and disciplined on both sides. Herbert will get a rushing game. My only spec of happiness in this is it will strengthen the west. We shall see. Coaching prima donnas in the pros is WAY different than coaching college prima donnas. Quote
Big Turk Posted January 25 Posted January 25 KCs strangle hold on the division is going to end at the very least...great, another potential perennial power in the AFC forming... Quote

No the NCAA ended USCs run see Reggie Bush’s house. His own brother ended his chance at a Super Bowl and did he actually beat the Legion of Boom? He kinda didn’t ask Erin Andrews. As for Michigan he was there ten years and if he didn’t convert a 4th down against Alabama would have gone 9 years without winning a bowl game. He’s a darn good coach but he is not Vince Lombardi. 1 Quote

Everyone picks the chargers to be that “sneaky” team every year and they always disappoint. One of those franchises with no luck. But it does seem like a great hire. 1 Quote

He took an awful Stanford team and had the largest upset in history against USC and then the most points scores against USC in history 2 years later. Pete Carroll left for the NFL after that and USC hasn't been a legitimate contender since. Legion of Boom was 11-18 or 19, so all 4 of his years. "If he didn't completely rebuild the Michigan program they wouldn't have a Championship" ftfy. He had a proven track record in a way we could only wish. You're trying to downplay how big this is for the Chargers, but the weapons they have are dangerous. Quote

He got worked by Pete Carroll a bunch of times. What's your point? Carroll is a great coach. 2 National Championships, a SB win. and back top back NFCC wins. Are you just hot-taking again or is it possible you are serious? Quote

I think there's a big difference between coaching a bunch of kids who are bigger, faster and stronger than everybody they play against vs. coaching a bunch of grown-assed millionaires in a parity driven league. My expectation is a lot of turnover that will somewhat hamper the Chargers early, a year or two of contention with a really good roster and then the inevitable flameout when the players and a big chunk of the organization become sick of his idiocy. 1 Quote

That was one of the most talent-loaded teams in the last decade and the majority of their success was a result of the work of Greg Roman and Vic Fangio. The instant that talent began to thin out and Harbaugh could only get them to 8-8, they got him out of their organization as fast as they possibly could. I think it's only a matter of time before this blows up in the Chargers' face. Quote
