This has been on my mind ever since Sunday night and I just have to get it out there.

The list of great QBs who never won a Super Bowl. I define “Great” as having consistent success, excelling at the position and not a player who had an up and down career.

Jim Kelly

Josh Allen

Joe Burrow

Philip Rivers

Tony Romo

Dan Marino

Donovan McNabb

Steve McNair

Frank Tarkenton

Randall Cunningham

Warren Moon

Great QBs who only won one superbowl (shows how hard it is)

Kurt Warner

Steve Young

Brett Favre

Aaron Rodgers
Drew Brees

Matt Stafford

(Namath, Dawson, Unitas, Stabler, Simms, Doug Williams) - I never really watched film on these guys to see if they were good/great but I can only assume they were. Shows my age

QBs who won multiple Superbowls

Peyton Manning

Patrick Mahomes

Troy Aikman

Joe Montana

Eli Manning

Bart Starr

Bob Griese

Terry Bradshaw

Ben Roethlisberger

Tom Brady

Roger Staubach

Which category will Allen fall in? I’ve come to the realization that Allen will not win multiple Superbowls and it won’t be because of Josh Allen but because of the team he plays for. We will never be a dynasty. I say he wins one in 2-3 years from now and that’s it.

I would be thrilled if Allen only wins one Super Bowl for the Buffalo Bills. Obviously, everyone would want them to win more but just to experience winning it once would be fantastic. It won't happen with McDermott. I wish Terry would grow a pair and make the move to Belichick, Harbaugh, or even Vrabel but he won't. I will throw this out there. Tomlin is going into his last year as Steelers coach next year. If he moves on from the Steelers and the Bills fail again in the playoffs (they will) with McDermott. Then if the opportunity is there then bring Mike here. He will build a tough team and a strong defense. Even though he only has one Super Bowl win it is still one more than McDermott.

It's an absolute crime of sports that Josh has not been in a Super Bowl yet.  The other night was maddening.   You can't lose back to back Divisional games at home. ugh.

If the Ravens win it all then we get to hear all of the media "experts" say how LJ is a much better QB than Allen. That will happen if he becomes a Super Bowl champion. Mahomes has won. Jackson has a very good chance to win it. Burrow has been in a Super Bowl. We can wear our 4-time AFCE championship tee shirts with pride.

Correction: apparently you CAN lose back to back divisional games at home, because we just did.

Yeah, and with Two MVP's in the bag and an AFC Championship game, Lamar is already being fitted for his gold jacket.  Everything else he does personally is gravy.

They were actually angry on ESPN Get UP this morning that the Bills lost to KC the other day.  They are still breaking it down and are perplexed.  Even they want and expected the Bills to get over the hump.

I actually consider Kelly to be a Super Bowl winning QB.

he did exactly what Brady did to win his first Super Bowl.

Guided his team to a game winning FG in the last minute of the game.

Not his fault that the kicker failed.

Go down the list of those great QB teams and you’ll find flaws — either OL, DL, WRs, secondary, RBs, etc.  Our biggest flaws that are holding us back are DE and WR.  Get these addressed and we have a chance.  Oh, and get lucky with injuries.

i'll raise my stake. Kelly was not a great QB. his selfishness in at least 2 super bowls cost us victories. if he would have just handed the ball off more in the first two we likely win those games controlling the ball and clock.

There is only one person who can fix this and that is Terry Pegula. Given the season ending press conferences yesterday it seems like we are stuck with McDermott for at least one more year. In a year when Belichick, Harbaugh, and even Vrabel are all available to get.

Things absolutely suck right now, but I really do still believe Allen gets multiple Super Bowls.

I used to think we'd win multiple. Now I really just hope we can at least get 1. It's not going to happen until a coaching change, if one happens.

Marv coached them really tight in the SB's too if we're being honest. They should have been more aggressive on the last drive vs the Giants.

Lots of great QB's have never won the SB for various reasons. Partly because it's a matter of luck and is a team sport. It's not the end of the world. I think the Bills mafia could get to a healthier place mentally if they stopped focusing on Super Bowls. Focus on being the best team you can be, and not on long-term goals and other teams.

Also, where is Dan Fouts on that list?

Always have had a hard time calling Kurt Warner a great QB.  He had a 12 year career, out of them 6 good years, but of those 6, only 3 the team did well.  Other years he barely played half the games, not sure if it was due to injury or benched?

Rivers was not great, either, but threw a ton.

Great compared to the 1000ish starting QBs who ever played

I like Kelly but that's kind've silly.  Wasn't the knock on Kelly he didn't do enough on that last drive to get the Bills closer to Norwood's ideal yard range?  47 yards was no chip shot back in 1991

Honestly, I'm in the "one before I die" crowd. I'm sure when we win one, I'll want more - but just one will bury all of the demons.  Then, it will just be about enjoyment.

I'm sure of that.

I think Allen gets one in the next few years, and who knows - maybe another when he's in his 30's.  And that's fantastic.  Brady changed a lot of perspectives on this.  All of a sudden, unless you have a dynasty or get a bunch of titles, it's insufficient.

But for this fan, 1 is just fine.

Well, ok, if that's the case, then Buffalo won the SB in 2021. It's not Josh's fault 13-sconds occurred. If we had beaten KC, then most agree Buffalo would have beaten Cincy and then the Rams.

See how that works?
