Obviously 13 seconds never should have happened, but we can't rewrite history. Not happy about it but it's not embarrassing either. Get a grip and step back from the ledge. The first Dallas Superbowl...THAT was embarrassing. I’m fine. If you think this team is ever gonna be championship material, I don’t know what to tell you. It’s ALWAYS something and until proven otherwise, it will always be something. Oh, and McDermott is the new Marvin Lewis. FACT. Ain’t getting over the hump with McDermott and if by some miracle they do, I’ll gladly eat crow. 1 Quote
Success Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Man, I'm still struggling today. I posted after the game that I was more low-key about this loss. But as the hours have passed, I find myself fighting this sense of hopelessness. Like, if we couldn't do it Sunday, or last year at home, or the year before w/ just a few ticks left on the clock - when can we ever do it? I try to rationalize that it took other great athletes years and multiple losses to the same team before breaking through (Manning, Jordan, etc.) But that's just hope talk. This might be as far as we ever get in today's AFC. And we have one of the 2 best QB's in the game - I happen to still think he's the best. It's immensely frustrating. Quote

It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s one of the week 1 games on Thursday or Sunday night. Probably not Monday night in consecutive years. Quote
Bob Jones Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Don't know how much this contributed to the large viewing numbers, but over the last few days I've seen/heard a bunch of non-football types speculate that the largeness of the numbers were because of millions of Taylor Swift fans who were watching just because she was at the game. Sounds crazy to me, but who knows, there are a lot of "Swifty" fans who have the IQ of a rock, so.... Quote
