I'm sure he wishes he made the field goal with every fiber of his being It's disgusting to come at him on social media and even worse to issue threats. You don't always recover from the “yips” Bass might be done, still not a reason to make death threats, more of a reason to look at the those that put a shaky kicker in that situation Edited January 23 by uticaclub 1 Quote

ScotSHO Posted January 23 Posted January 23 I say we hold a parade for him. Norwood can be the guest of honor. Maybe we can get him a key to the city. The possibilities are endless. 1 3 1 Quote

There’s considerable middle ground between being an ####### and threatening him and acting like we are happy. If you want to give to a worth cause, go ahead. But what are we doing here. Can we donate to Von Miller’s charity because he didn’t play well? 1 2 Quote

TheyCallMeAndy Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Worth noting that Tyler Bass is 9-10 all time in kicks to win or send a game to OT. 5 minutes ago, FireChans said: Can we donate to Von Miller’s charity because he didn’t play well? It’s very thoughtful of you to show support to a player like that. 2 Quote
Alphadawg7 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Its sad he is getting so much hate. We didnt lose the game because of Bass, I mean KC had a lot of time and 2 timeouts and all they needed was a FG against a defense that has failed to stop them from getting a FG in 13 seconds and 12 seconds and was only able to force even 5 3rd downs all game. So, even if Bass makes that kick, the odds are high that KC gets into FG range and takes the clock down and hits the game winner. No guarantee, but this by no means is why we lost the game. I mean there are so many plays...Kelce uncovered TD, Diggs dropped bomb, Dawkins stepping on Josh foot on the throw to Shakir for the go ahead TD, the OL not holding up on 3rd down forcing a FG attempt, etc. This was very different than Norwood...the moment we didn't convert on 3rd down I told my wife that is game. Tying the game giving Mahomes final possession is not a recipe to win, we needed the TD. Edited January 23 by Alphadawg7 1 Quote

But I’m sure they never made a single mistake at their job we should ask their bosses. glass houses. job? they are likely low life crack heads that have no job. ruthless? no, they are nothing more than cowards that need to be strung up by their balls. 1 1 Quote
stevestojan Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Anyone threatening him needs to examine their own pathetic excuse for lives and how much a game - in which at the end of the day we’re cheering for laundry - is impacting their happiness. They should also be criminally charged. 4 Quote

For me, it's to show support since he's getting threats. Letting him know that there are fans that stand by him and aren't a-holes. 1 Quote
Cray51 Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Nothing would make me happier than Tyler Bass making a big Field Goal week one next year to a loud crowd of supporters. Buffalo has always been a place that rewards people who are tough, and keep fighting even when they are down. You miss a kick, it sucks. He knows that. You make a big kick next time you get the chance? You've earned a loud cheer from Bills fans 1 Quote

The wind is tricky in that stadium and if the Bills didn't consult with alumni special teamers or bring them in to help prepare the K and P, that's an oversight on their part. We've seen that wind do that very thing in Rich Stadium for 50 years. 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I donated $22 for TBass and $22 for moving expenses to get rid of McDermott! 1 1 1 Quote
Breakout Squad Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I don’t have the exact words but it seemed or felt like there was something off. Early in the season McDermott showed hesitance sending Bass out for long kicks. Was he injured? Did coaches see him shanking long FG’s in practice and the media didn’t catch wind? I feel bad for him. He has the leg and he’s been accurate. I think he’ll be great next year. Quote
Let's Go Buffalo Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Thanks for sharing this! It's for a good cause indeed. As far as the field goal goes, he shouldn't have had to kick it in the first place....We had our chances to score at touchdown right before that play anyway. Go Bills! 1 1 Quote
78thealltimegreat Posted January 24 Posted January 24 The thing is Tyler isn’t some kid off the street living his dream he is one of the highest paid kickers in the league. He blew the kick. It happens but one of his kicks before that was drifting as well. His charity deserves all the money it can get but man talk about pressure every time he walks on the field next year every single kick is going to be under a magnifying glass. Quote

If Bass is not injured, then there needs to be a competition next summer. If he was hobbled, then maybe his performance will improve. If there's a better option next fall, then you eat the cap number and cut him. Rarely does a FG kicker get a full season to get his swing back. Except in Buffalo (see the 1991 Bills season). All this feel good stuff does not help you advance in the playoffs. But the more I watch, the more it seems like the Bills fans want a show and care less about winning. 1 Quote

The money goes to a GREAT cause and it hopefully makes Tyler and his fiancee (daughter of former Bills punter, Rick Tuten!) feel a little better. That’s all we’re trying to accomplish here. Supposedly they’ve crossed the $250k donation mark. Let’s keep it rising! Any extra money can go to spaying and neutering members of Bills Mafia who are harassing Tyler. Here’s the website where you can donate: https://www.tenlivesclub.com/ 2 1 Quote
