No he didn’t… the Chiefs defense made some stops and adjustments… the Bills defense was like a knife through butter in another playoff loss. Rinse repeat.

The "adjustment" the Chiefs' defense made was to put 9 in the box on first down.  I have no idea why Josh didn't audible out of those runs up the middle.

We knew the Bills' D would be under the gun...I can't blame them for this loss.

They should definitely do their due diligence and interview multiple additional candidates.

They should definitely interview out there since they have to anyway to get a look at more good offensive minds.

Yeah but the thing is KC wasn't even that good offensively this year, and they STILL made it look easy against our D.

This was definitely the year we should've been able to beat them.

Our best DB,  White, was on IR.  Our two next-best CBs (Douglas, Johnson) were banged up.

Our best LB, Milano, was on IR.  A variety of other LBs were banged up

Our best DL, Miller, is recovering and still not nearly 100%.

At every level of our defense, our best player was out or degraded while others were also hurt.

Did you expect our second and third-stringers - and our limping starters - to stop Reid and Mahomes in the playoffs, despite them having an off year?

As former NFL team doctor, Dr. Chao, notes, in the playoffs the healthier team usually wins.

Of course you can’t… just like Frazier was to blame last year…. Oh and injuries! And the year before that along with the ST coach.

The common denominator remains.

Scott, you're like a little kid on Christmas morning...this is your favorite day of the year.

If McD is back it’s punting another year of his Prime. We might actually waste this guys career. It’s devastating.

Unfortunately he will be back because of the way the season turned around. We might have been better off going forward if it hadn't.

expecting more and more from one of the top 5 players in football seems nuts  How about the coach gets it figured out, we find people that can get open and catch the football.  Maybe field a defense that stops somebody in the playoffs?

In your opinion. There is an ignore function, please feel free to use it.

This is what happens when you can't or won't control yourself and are putting up up 100+ posts of repetitive bitching in every thread on the board.

That refusal to control yourself is why you were removed years ago and it's why you are going to be removed again.

Learn or leave.

Nah. I just know McDermott isn’t the guy and don’t need to make excuses for everyone of his playoff failure’s.

Thank you for your interest in Two Bills Drive.

Unfortunately we are full right now and have no room for another poster with no self-awareness and zero self-control.

Please feel free to try again next year and we will give your application the consideration it deserves.

How is that any different than any other team?  Mahomes had a play a perfect game to beat the Bills...and he did.

That pass he threw to Kelce who was about 3 miles away from the nearest defender was PERFECT

Whatever, man.  Mahomes QB rating for the game was 131 and his QBR was over 90.  He played great.  The Bills still should have won.

I have been hard on Josh's post season, film, and decision making. But he seemed much different the back end of this year.

One notable mention was that he directly said "I am anxious to get back into the lab and start working". Normally we hear "Gonna let the body heal" or "I will take some time to decompress from this" or "We will work on some things this offseason".

But this was much more along the lines of "lets get back to work".

Maybe he's realized that if he's zoned in the way he usually is in the playoffs he can be deadly during the regular season as well. I think he also really enjoys playing in Brady's version of the offense. Dorsey's scheme seemed to make him lethargic and bored.

Not missing wide open targets will do that.

Being fair to Mahomes he did play good, and he has no control over the level of difficulty and he wouldn't increase it even if he did, but it was easier and when they did get pressure on him and start to make things harder on his last series that could have won them the game he didn't get it done. 🤷‍♂️ No ones going to care in the end, Josh went against a hell of a defense and was a freak all game.

He did play great, he almost always does in the playoffs, and he fully deserves the crown of best QB in the league. But I still maintain he has a lot more around him than Allen, starting with the greatest offensive mind in history being able to constantly draw up ways to get people wide open for him.

Earlier in the season this wasn't happening because Reid was still trying to adjust to and work with what he had (which he always gets right in the end) and we heard media guys across the country saying "Mahomes is having to do too much". And we saw what happened to him when that was the case, he looked borderline ordinary for a lot of games to the point where he fell head first out of any realistic MVP conversation.

Also notice how when Kelce disappeared for huge stretches, so did Mahomes, and he was throwing way more picks because he was firing the ball and trying to be superman (something they've been saying about Josh since day 1). Obviously I'm going to lean more in Josh's direction on this, but I just think he has a lot more to compensate for and yet still manages to play on par with "the GOAT".

Watching the effort it took our O to score vs the effort KC required is like watching a little kid trying his hardest against his big brother letting him keep it close but not win.

Yeah, that was the primary reason I thought we were going to lose this game as early as the 2nd qrtr. :(
