bills6969 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Boy did we miss him last night. When we lost him earlier this year, I knew our Super Bowl hopes were pretty much in flames. Every team has injuries, but imo he’s our most important player on D. Bernard did a commendable job filling in, but no one could replace Milano’s value to this team. He’s so good on run D, can rush the QB when needed and can cover talented TEs like Kelce. If we had him last night, I’m certain we win that game. I hope he has a full, healthy offseason to get back into form and look forward to him being our field general on D next year. 6 5 1 Quote
Success Posted January 22 Posted January 22 We missed Bernard, too. Both of those guys were just leaders on the field. And playmakers. No one on D made an impact play yesterday. I don't really count the goal-line fumble; that was kind of flukey. No one had a sack or big play. 4 2 1 Quote

SoonerBillsFan Posted January 22 Posted January 22 If we had a good / legit #2 WR on this team, and Diggs actually show up, lack of D players wouldn't have made a difference, we win by 17. Hell, if the defensive scheme was good enough we win. We don't have any of that. 1 Quote

TheyCallMeAndy Posted January 22 Posted January 22 My outlook on our LBers is pretty high, we know what we have in our starters (Bernard and Milano). Dodson has stepped up big time and hopefully returns, I have no doubt Dorian Williams takes a big step in year two with Bobby Babs. Baylon Spector looked like he can play limited snaps on Defense and hold his own, like TM44 (who’s a FA). Bills should have 4 legitimately good LBers, and 2 established special teams (could have 3 and 1). 2 Quote
Mango Posted January 22 Posted January 22 (edited) A 100% healthy Milano, Bernard, Tre, and Douglas absolutely win that game last night by some margin. (I know we don't make the Douglas trade if Tre is healthy. But right now they are both on the roster. Let me have this one today) Edited January 22 by Mango 2 1 Quote
Cray51 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Milano and Bernard being out HURT Klein missed the coverage pass from Taron Johnson on the 2nd play for the Chiefs (the Rice catch in the flat that went for 25+) Klein couldn't cover Kelce and allowed a nice post catch in the first half Dodson and Klein were average at best against Pacheco on the second level Dorian needs more time, he struggled as well Dodson looked frustrated pre snap multiple times as well, and Bernard has been lauded as a great communicator pre snap Really missed this guys, unfortunate that we didnt have them at the most important time 1 1 Quote

Milano and Bernard out was basically the reason we lost last night. Klein couldn't stay with Kelce all night. Then add the dbs injured, we didn't stand a chance. Until this organization finds a strategy or better conditioning staff to minimize injuries, this crap will continue every year. Quote

They scored on 5 of the first 6 drives (and that is being generous and counting the end of half possession that was 2 plays as the 1 stop) and were 1 yard away from another TD on the 7th drive. We forced a punt on their 8th drive which was a positive. That isn't good. Quote
Lost Posted January 22 Posted January 22 I just pray Milano can return to his previous form and not a shell of his former self like Von Miller. Quote
NewEra Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Milano and Bernard. Once the shining stars of the defense this season- Injured in the playoffs. 😢 lots of luck involved in winning a SB ladies and gents. 1 1 1 Quote
