Actually, plenty of athletes have gone to "head doctors" to get their minds back to focus on their sporting performance. It worked for the guys in "The Natural", right?! 😂 1 Quote

The offense needed to score a touchdown on that last drive or wind the clock down a lot more than they did. Bass makes the kick and ties the game, then Mahomes leads the Chiefs down the field for a game winning FG in the final seconds. Our depleted defense couldn’t stop the Chiefs. That's the same feeling that I had. Rather than throwing for the end zone, Allen had Diggs underneath on the 2nd down which would have gotten the first down and allowed them to milk the clock, take a few shots at the TD, and if unsuccessful, then attempt a chip shot FG. On 3rd down, I thought I saw Shakir open underneath, but in fairness to Josh on that play, he was on the run and it would have been difficult to get the ball to Shakir. Although the defense had a couple of stops in the final 10-12 minutes, I didn't think they'd stop the Chiefs if they had scored and given them the ball back with more than a minute on the clock. wppete Posted January 22 Posted January 22 After last night Bass will be a broken man mentally. Kickers don’t recover from something like that. Wide Right repeat. Quote
JDubya76 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Taking into consideration replacement cost, there is no way we are spending 9-10 million in cap cost on the place kicking position in 24-25. It’s just irresponsible, there are bigger needs. They are running him back with their fingers crossed that this year was an anomaly. Quote
paulmm3 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Bass isn't a good kicker who had one miss. He was 24th in FG percentage this season and 2/5 in the playoffs. He's a bum. 1 Quote
boater Posted January 22 Posted January 22 It may be cheaper and more realistic to send him to an off-season coach like Josh Allen had, or send him to a Sports Psychologist--since it seems mental. Quote
