when you get this kind of qb play from a second year second round pick you have a lot of cap and draft capital to bolster the other spots.

Wonder if McCloud ran the wrong route there or Purdy misfired. He turned outside like a 7 corner route but then Purdy brought him back to the inside. 
 

IMO it looks like McCloud was right there and Purdy was late and adjusted
