78thealltimegreat Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Chiefs finished 2nd in scoring and 4th against the pass but they are the 17th rated D against the run. For comparison Bills D finished 4th in scoring and 7th against the pass and where a couple spots ahead of the Chiefs at 15th against the run. This game more than likely will come down to Mahomes and Pacheco against Allen and Cook and who controls the clock. As both teams are very good at limiting explosive plays down field. 1 Quote

This is a game about being physical and imposing your will on the opponent. The team that does this best will end up victorious. 1 Quote

Unfortunately, we're out more starters on currently than they are. We'll need some turnovers this game. 1 Quote
Special K Posted January 20 Posted January 20 (edited) Maybe I am mistaken, but I thought I heard one of the talking heads say that the Chiefs D is way better at home than they are on the road. Sort of like the Browns D. Edited January 20 by Special K 1 Quote
ShakAttack Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Interesting the KC d was able to completely shut down Achane, despite run D being the “weak link” of their defense. I don’t think I remember Achane getting shut down outside of that game. 1 minute ago, Special K said: Maybe I am mistaken, but I thought heard one of the talking heads say that the Chiefs D is way better at home than they are on the road. Bferra13 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I hope they watched that raiders game. We don't really have a Crosby, make it work. Quote
Paul Costa Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Injuries & less rest are important. We will see early if those two variables matter. The offense owes the defense one. Love ❤️ to see JA17 go off for like 38 points and leave KC in the dust. 38-24 Quote
pigpen65 Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Bills D is much better if not for all the injuries. Even with the injuries there was only like a 15 point against difference 1 Quote
DCofNC Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Why is everyone ignoring the facts? KC’s schedule was soft as a pillow! The only decent offensive teams they played, they’re either lost to, played their back up QB, or it was the Dolphins. How they haven’t been persecuted unmercifully for this is beyond me. Their D is about like ours when we had the “#1 defense” that got beat by the Chiefs in 13 seconds. That year I believe we faced 8 rookie or back-up QBs to pas the stats. 1 1 3 Quote

Their run DVOA is actually 27th. We need heavy run and play action this game. They also have been abysmal at covering RBs in the pass game. Edited January 20 by Locomark 1 Quote

Thank you for FINALLY seeing this as well! the last month and a half they played the softest and LUCKIEST schedule!!! And they still lost and sucked all together Quote

It could come down to the QB who turns the ball over less. Case in point Bills won a close game this season at +1 in turnover differential Quote
Don Otreply Posted January 20 Posted January 20 According to Cover1 KCs run defense is mediocre/average, Brady needs to add some twists /wrinkles to the run game and go play action type of thing and use TEs and RBs in the pass game, obviously I am an offensive guru and they should always consult with me before games…, 🤣 GO BILLS!!! 1 1 Quote
T master Posted January 20 Posted January 20 This season has been filled with injury's for the Bills i wish both teams were at full strength so there would be no excuses what so ever . That being said if something doesn't work out well there will be plenty of "FIRE McD" posts out there . Right now they are all on the wagon & not saying very much because to this point McD has for the most part proven he is the man for the job even if they won't admit it . You can bet if the Bills were to win the SB the silence would be defining from the McD haters well at least until next year when he didn't call the perfect game then they would be back in full force . When mid-season it looked like a Josh Allen led team was in serious danger of not making the playoffs, and after a number of losses to poor teams, just skating by the Giants, etc., it was perfectly understandable that folks were questioning McD's tenure. He has yet to have sustained success in the playoffs. I like him. Going forward, he needs to have a solid OC, hopefully Brady is that fella, and Beane needs to add a top end WR early in the draft. No doubt, McDermott is staying. They are in a position to win it all. Those of us who have been waiting fifty years and more for a SB will not be going after McD if he gets us to the promised land. He's free beer for life with me if he makes that happen. 3 Quote
