Don't worry, I got this...

So forum whipping boys Sherfield, Harty and Elam have all made big plays lately. So I'm guessing this guy will pin the Chiefs at their own 1 yard line with a minute left in the game on Sunday with them needing a TD to win, and we'll then take Mahomes down for a safety to win it

I’m not sure this kind of creative positivity is allowed…… Careful there Mister😉

Remember what? I know everything there is to know about the Bills over the last 25 years. I know exactly who they signed.

The fact you can’t comprehend a FG is more important than a punt is the problem with this conversation.

25 years? Is that it?  🙇😂

Pretty sure I never said anything about a FG being less important than a punt. In fact, my original response to your post acknowledges the importance of holding. Apparently, what you can’t comprehend is that he is also a punter too (that is his listed position after all) who just so happens to be terrible at it. I hope I’m wrong when (not IF) he comes out to punt and he booms the ***** out of it. Odds aren’t great he does. Enjoy the game.

He isn't going to boom the bleep out of it. That isn't who he is. He doesn't have a massive leg. But he is an experienced punter who understands the value of hang time, has experience with this crew - in terms of Reid and Tyler - important both for punting and holding, and has played in playoff games. Given where we are he was the best, most sensible, option. If he can get his punts off, not have a block and not leave any crazy short fields that is the best outcome. The risks associated with every other option floated are greater IMO.

Man…Martin was kicking so well at the end of the season and even in the Steelers game.

Sherfield a "whipping boy"?? point to all the Sherfield stinks or they are better off without Sherfiled threads.

you somehow seem to have identified the wrong WR...

We have to laugh, or else we'd be cryin'.  If Haack is our punter Sunday, I'm scared shitless that he'll shank one from our own EZ, and KC has a drive start already in FG range.

Hey, it's just a bag o' glass, OK?

If we're punting a lot that is a bad sign... I myself am worried that Gabe Davis will return more than I am about Haack.

All fair points that I acknowledge. In their mind, making the best of a bad situation. My true hope is that they shut Martin down for the week and let Haack wear himself out in practice getting reacclimated, then Martin is able to be active come game day. I’m not overly optimistic on that though. Hammies can be really tricky.

25 years? Let me catch you up on the first 40. This might take a bit but here goes….

It was a warm summer evening in Detroit when a trucking tycoon set his sights on owning a professional football team. Yadda, yadda, yadda……😁

Ok. This is clearly a circular conversation going nowhere, so I’ll get off this merry-go-round. The guy is terrible. Sorry you don’t remember that.

Hoping Sam Martin is ok to go and this is a moot point.

Over the course of a game were talking 3-6 punts.  If his net average is 5 yards less... this is a loss of somewhere around 15-30 yards of field position.

Haack actually has a higher net average than Martin this season fwiw.

Veteran option that knows the team and most importantly hold for Bass.

Smart decision.

For those complaining he’s not a great punter, well if we are punting lots we aren’t winning the game anyways

As long as his punts aren’t blocked. I remember that being a big issue of his

I’m not going to lie like I know every player and stat from the early 90’s and earlier. But late 90’s and beyond I could win some trivia.

So who is the punter you wanted them to sign?
