TheFunPolice Posted January 16 Posted January 16 PAY THE MAN! It's an insult for Tua to have to play next season without a long-term, lucrative big $$ deal. Herbert and Burrow set the floor for negotiations, IMO. 2 3 Quote
Gregg Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Show some respect people. Tua is the greatest September QB in NFL history. 1 1 6 Quote

WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Ensure that his contract is as guaranteed as Desean Watson Quote
pigpen65 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Only reason I can think Grier is putting this out is that he wants to be fired. He probably wants out of Miami but wants to get paid for the rest of his current contract. 4 Quote
hellofellowbillsfans Posted January 16 Posted January 16 i want a lifetime contract for him PLEASE Quote
Warcodered Posted January 16 Posted January 16 AFC Pro Bowl Starting QB you're going to have to pay him top $, probably should lock him up for as long as possible too. 1 1 Quote
Buffalo_Stampede Posted January 16 Posted January 16 What’s the alternative? They have to sign him. 3 1 Quote

He has a 5th year they could let him play on it, they could use that 5th year he has left to trade him to help try and find the actual solution. Obviously this is good for us but he's not it, ripping off the band-aide and getting what they can out of him is their best option. 1 Quote
FilthyBeast Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I still think Tua is an elite franchise QB. Obviously at some point though he's going to have to win a big game just like Dak Prescott who has also posted silly regular season numbers for years but came up small in the playoffs/big games. 1 1 1 9 Quote
Sestak4ever Posted January 16 Posted January 16 What the gm says in public to try to maintain cohesion among the team vs. what they really think can be very different. It also puts the ball in Tua’s court to come to an agreement. 2 Quote

ddaryl Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Make Tua the highest paid at his position !!! Tua is a solid QB but I wouldn't call him elite, but Miami should overpay... Quote
Beast Posted January 16 Posted January 16 This was right up there with my off-season wishes of drafting a WR high. 1 1 Quote
mushypeaches Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I don't think that anybody in Miami's front office, including the owner, has the stones to make the difficult and painful decision here Tua is never going to be more than he is right now. He doesn't have the physical tools or leadership abilities to be what Josh Allen & Patrick Mahomes are today He's just good enough to keep winning in September & October and in warm weather - when conditions are right and he can play in rhythm with talented teammates But even though this franchise is probably scared to death of not having a high performing QB, the right move is to trade him now, rip off the band-aid of other high $ contracts and start over But they'll never do it, and I for one am thrilled... 2 2 Quote
