I know, I went into the 1st half game day thread because I wanted to find out why Elam was playing - I missed it that Benford and Spector both hurt on that non-fumble-recovery. I got an answer to my questions but My Lord! What a Monkey-House-Throwing-***** show. I backed out of there quickly, and I still needed a shower. Edited January 16 by Beck Water 2 1 1 Quote

CapeBreton Posted January 16 Posted January 16 He is definitely going down to avoid contact (like Tyler Lockett does), which is fine at his age and since he's definitely banged up. BUT, they should avoid throwing him short passes at the line of scrimmage if he's avoiding contact, give those to Shakir. Quote

Unless he is secretly injured I think it's time to really evaluate his effectiveness and effort. 🧌 🧵 Quote
NY to VA to NV to TX to AZ Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I mean this is just a bad take on the whole Diggs thing. He is a great receiver, still, right now, at this exact moment!!! He is not, nor should he be, going anywhere. I look at this whole made up drama completely different. Diggs is a professional, 100%, the dude has been quiet the last few weeks as far as production goes and he has been has kept his mouth shut!!!! He is a professional, he does indeed want to win and as long as we are winning he doesn’t really care about his stats. Does he preserve his body, yes sometimes he does as do I and most others. Kind of like live to fight another day. My job is very physical as well and I do self preservation, but it is not nearly as physically traumatizing as being hit full speed by some of these behemoth of men. He’s not going anywhere, he is in good place, he is a hard worker, he is winner, and I don’t care what his petty little brother thinks…look what we did to Dallas and look at where Dallas sits right now, on their couch for the rest of the year. Leave the dude alone, he takes hits, he gives hits, he gets YAC when it’s there, but when it’s not, he doesn’t force it. This keeps him healthy and in the games, when other teams are losing their best, we still have ours because he is very smart and very aware and very, very needed. I don’t think he has missed a start or sat out any games, correct me if I’m wrong, since coming to Buffalo. Every other team has had their best sit at some point or even out for multiple games due to injury. Look at it logically, he is not a machine, he is like anyone of us. I think we tend to forget that sometimes. Bad take sir, just a bad take, sorry. 3 Quote
Sestak4ever Posted January 16 Posted January 16 When critical plays needed to be made Josh looked for Diggs and found him each time to keep the chains moving. He is still The Man. Go Bills!!🏈 2 Quote

Call up Shavers from the Practice Squad and have him go against Sneed? Exactly. We should all have a nice, long discussion about the future of Diggs specifically and the WR corps in general after the season concludes. Quote

Judging by this, it’s your first time ever watching Diggs. It’s ok. There are a lot of new “fans” here. Quote
Southern_Bills Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I think the team may move on from him in the offseason for a few reasons but one if them isn't because he is cooked career wise. Quote
Nuncha Posted January 16 Posted January 16 (edited) 9 hours ago, The Wiz said: Have you not watched him play for the past 3 years? He always goes down to avoid contact unless he is already on the run. That's his way of preserving his body to prolong his career and stay healthy. I agree - he has to preserve his body. However, this is the playoffs man. Either win or go home. Do you think Josh was worried about preserving his body on that 52 yard TD run? During the post season do you to lay it all on the line, or preserve your body for next season? Edited January 16 by Nuncha Quote

Diggs had YACs yesterday where he fought for extra yards and took the hits. Josh also had runs yesterday where he gave up and slid. It's called playing smart. So…lay it all on the line, even at the expense of not participating in the rest of the game or any game that follows, really? This is a very small way to look at it. Davis is out already, but hey f*** it, let’s lose our number one receiver as well. Come on this is almost as bad as the original post, almost🙄. Also, Josh is monster of a man, he doesn’t get hit, he hits and by being the one that hits you are preserving your body because you know how you want that collision to go down. Same thing for Diggs, if he is doing the hitting, he is fine. But when one of monsters is going to clean out your legs why risk it. Dude is worker. 1 Quote

Looking at "preserving yourself" for the next playoff game is a smaller way of looking at it. Shakir could have slid down too. Come on man. Diggs is playing WAY too soft lately - so soft that he looks afraid to get hit most of the time. Edited January 16 by Nuncha 2 Quote
