I feel like this interview is just more of a meeting so Chargers leadership can ask Harbaugh "What would YOU do to fix this?" and get some free consulting disguised as a job interview. all teams do that in all sports. At least the smart ones. Quote
hjnick Posted January 15 Posted January 15 why go to the chargers when Dallas is going to be open soon... Quote

Sojourner Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Steve Wilks wouldn’t be a bad shout for them you know. Don’t think he did bad with the tire fire roster he had in AZ back in 2018. Quote

Because if Harbs has to listen to "YEEEEAAAAAA HERE WE GOOOOOOOO...." for a full season he may just crush someone's head in with a frying pan. And that would be bad. 4 Quote

Michigan reportedly offered him 125M to stay. ZERO chance Spanos forks that out for a coach. What is the amount they usually give to the top coaches in the NFL ? Quote

He’s the Josh Allen of Coaches. He wants to win a Lombardi. He’ll take less to get another opportunity. He’s smart though. Most important to him is going to the right team. Not sure if that is the Chargers. Quote

I think he takes it only because of Herbert. but I don’t see it as more attractive than staying at Michigan. i also think harbaugh has really morphed into a great college coach. Would be curious to see if he can transition back to more of an NFL style coach. Michigan alumni here. Harbaugh has created a great culture w the program. Players love playing for Harbaugh, for the program, for the school, for each other. Not many enter the portal like a lot of other programs. We play hard nosed physical football in both sides of the football. It’s like 1990 all over again. But it worked. I hope he is back. But if he leaves, our DC Jesse Minter should get the job. He is tremendous. We have a real tough schedule next year. And our QB is going pro. We play Texas Washington Oregon USC and Ohio State. That maybe tougher than the AFC West. Lol Quote

They will get a home crowd edge. Quote

Lol I honestly think he wanted to get Michigan a title and he prob doesn’t enjoy the recruiting and restrictions college has. I also think he wants to step aside to give Moore a chance to be the Head guy at Michigan. I honestly think he’s going to the NFL if he gets the right offer Quote

His brother has a Super Bowl trophy and he doesn't. I'd wager the Chargers is pry the most attractive job unless the Philly one opens up. Having a franchise QB already in the building instantly sets you up for success regardless of the state of the roster. 1 Quote

Never got close to ring like Harbaugh. Jim was one play away from a ring. That has to keep him up at night still. Quote
