Yes. Rip moves don’t get holds.

I guess I could see that because there is prolonged contact that could be perceived as a hold?

 

This one, the defenders progress definitely was impeded.

It doesn’t matter. If they use a rip move, they don’t get a hold call. It’s in the rule book.

 

I had no idea either tbh. Half of the blatant holds that aren’t called that we see are probably this.
