Weather being such an X variable, I don't know how much we can really take away from that last meeting, if anything. So much has changed since then as well, regardless of the impending weather. All I know is, I like our D against the reindeer at QB, our QB's ability to make good things happen with his legs, and how James Cook brings a whole new element/ability to pound the rock even against top D lines (Dallas comes to mind) in inclement conditions. We just need to protect the rock, avoid dumb fumbles in the snow and play the way that we know we are capable of! Back in the day weather at Rich in the playoffs was always perceived to be our friend, and used to our advantage where the no-huddle still hummed along at its high level while the others were left slipping and sliding around aimlessly...why shouldn't we have that swagger again?

exactly this.  We have a big armed QB, lets let it rip like we did in the 90s.  We have good receivers, 2 TEs who can catch.  No excuses here.

Don't make me pull the Miami 1990 winter game out of the youtube archives, where our passing attack in the snow was as fearsome as ever!! 🤩

I remember how it was said around the time of the preseason game that Tomlin did a little game planning as they were angry at how bad we beat them last year. I have to imagine using that motivation tactic twice may have some diminishing returns on their side

If weather is a big factor in this game, that makes me more nervous especially since the Steelers have been dominating the trenches in recent weeks and have had success pounding the football which has opened up some of these big pass plays they've hit on.

But at the same time, this is what the Bills have been trying to establish themselves as for years with little success until this year...a physical running team that can built for games exactly like this if need be.

So if's a repeat of the Dallas game where JA17 isn't a big factor and passes for 100 yards sign me up all day if it means a win in a playoff game.

The Stillers reputation as a tough running team is more historical than it is a current reality, imo.

The Bills have more rushing yards, a better rushing average, more rushing TD's, more first downs rushing, etc.

I also think there is a certain level of wind which all but eliminates the Stillers passing attack, while only only somewhat hampering the Bills. Josh Allen can drive the ball through some winds that Mason Rudolph cannot.

If there is a legitimate equalizer to fear, it is having 8" of snow on the field.

Rudolph throwing the ball down field has helped their running game the last couple of weeks. The wind is a factor with Rudolph, if our defense is going to take that chance and play it that way. If we play back anyway, it will remind me of the offense during that wind game against the Pats a couple years ago. And I will once again be "yelling why are you doing that" at the tv.

I also with you on the snow. Don't know if Ty will be available, but it will be nice if we can get Fournette to their middle backers not named Roberts.

They're a good team even without Watt they’ll have both WRs and Freirmuth (we have stunk against tall physical TEs) is a problem.

Warren and Najee will not be easy either.

Oh and they have nothing to lose and we’re coming off a massive emotional win.

Do not take this team lightly.

That absolutely needs to be the message.

The O/U is now 35.

and Buf is a 10 point favorite.  2.5 points more than any other gm.

They also beat us week 1 last year

2 years ago… that was the 2021 season opener (first time with full capacity in the stands since the end of the ‘19 season)

Sean is emphasizing that the Steelers need to be taken seriously, and the Bills can’t be mentally lazy about this game, the teams back is still against the wall, it’s win or go home, I think Sean and the entire team actively understands this,

GO BILLS!!!

Its funny. I was watching a game from that era. I'm pretty sure it was Denver. Elway was backed up to his goal line and it was so loud he told the ref. The ref announces to the crowd to quiet or there would be a penalty. Was always curious when crowd noise went from a penalty to the 12th man advantage.

duh. pardon me, I'm bugging, ya last year was opening night demolishing the Rams. Their my sneaky pick to make a run, 7-1 since their bye week

Pre season , especially for the Steelers is totally irrelevant.

Recall how the media was obsessed with how fantastic, almost unstoppable the Steelers offense was and Picket and Pickens were dynamic.  No Picket, replace him with Mason Rudolph.

Judging from the comments in here I can only imagine how the GDT is going to go if we don't get off to a fast start.

We could have been playing another home game in pristine Miami next week but nooooo the boys had to go out and win the division 😂

Yeah, that was such a Billsy thing to do. 😉

The Steelers are also coming off a big (divisional) win, no?

Their win was against a team that had already locked up the #1 seed and was resting its starters. Had the Ravens been playing full-strength, then yesterday would have been locker clean-out day in PIT.

By contrast, our win was over a team that was desperate to beat us, partly because we've owned them over the past few years, but mostly because the division title and playoff seeding were at stake.

They beat the Ravens twice (first one was with Lamar) by identical 17-10 scores. Dominated Bills starters on both sides of the ball in the preseason (calling for Bills to play starters in the last preseason game). Even without Watt, and with Rudolph at QB (who has played surprisingly well), this is a dangerous opponent, and I am sure the Bills will prepare accordingly.
