Nextmanup Posted January 11 Posted January 11 They are talking on the radio now about Cleveland being "on call" to be ready to host the game "in case". Not sure what that means or when that decision would be made. Quote

In a must win game vs backups, the Steelers managed just 17 points. Weather was bad, could be similar to Sunday. Baltimore's drives offensively: Punt, Punt, Fumble, Punt, TD, Halftime, Punt, Punt, Punt, Punt, Fumble, FG, End of game. I think we're fine as long as we don't do that lol. I am not even sure Baltimore game planned for that one. That looked like a classic “start the backups, don’t put anything on film” type game. I mean they basically ran straight ahead over and over and over again, no matter the down and distance. And they still had a shot. 1 Quote
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I mean I would honestly have it in Cleveland on a Monday afternoon than worry about a blizzard on game day. yes it would suck to lose the home crowd but I'd rather not agonize over field conditions. 1 2 Quote
Justin C Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Move the game to Monday at like 4. It’s MLK Day and a good amount of people already likely have off. 6 1 3 Quote

My fear is the Billls try and get too conservative in not having turnovers that they shy away from their normal game. We should be putting the ball in the air as usual. If we hit early it could get ugly for Pitt. People realize that the Bills hitting early is a distinct possibility that is why the point spread is around 10. Weather may well be a factor and that somewhat benefits Pittsburgh's ground and pound game. That being said, I trust Allen throwing into elements far more than I would trust Mason Rudolph. Will likely be one of those situations where teams take more of their shots whenever the wind is at their back. If so, it would benefit us to have the wind at our back in the 4th qtr. and the Steelers going into it to negate any late deep threat Pickens would pose or late field goals. My real hope is that we get some stops and our offense gets up on them some scores. We should be able to lean on our own running game and TEs too as there should be some windows and matchup issues for them in the middle of the field. 17 minutes ago, stlbills13 said: I sort of like those snow bowls, but think those conditions would benefit the Steelers a bit more than our team. It sounds like it could be Arctic tundra type stuff! That hugely benefits Pittsburgh. They don't have Josh Allen. All our skill could flush right down the toilet if it's bad enough. Sounds like FOR SURE it will be in 20s on Sunday, with VERY HIGH WINDS. The question is when about a foot of snow is going to get dumped....they only know it will avoid Buffalo and the north towns, but how far south will it hammer? It could be down in the Boston Hills and miss the stadium. Then again the stadium could be ground zero. Edited January 11 by Nextmanup 1 Quote

WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Honestly Monday would be kind of nice. I have it off for the first time in a loooong time, and it would mean a double header with the Eagles game so my house would get a double header. 1 Quote
