Maybe Atlanta with a good nucleus but no QB and they'll have to move up to get one. None of the others seem all that great. Feel like there's always a big surprise. There have been some news reports that McCarthy could be in trouble if Dallas doesn't have a good playoff run. 1 Quote

When Dallas chokes against Green Bay he's out and Jerry will go after Belichick as soon as he's cut loose. 2 1 Quote

TheFunPolice Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Chargers situation has to be the best. QB WR DE Plus some other nice players. But you have a QB to work with, so a lot of the other stuff works out. Division is kind of tough but each year is its own story and Denver is about to have no QB 1 Quote

After 6 SB titles, he deserves that, as Brady did. Don't jerk him around and try to trade him so you can "get something for him." You got 6 rings and 9 trips to the SB. I agree, though as a Bills fan can't say there isn't a bit of selfish ***** the Patriots in there not wanting them to get something for him, but despite that it'd still be pretty classless to not let him just go and make his own decision. 1 Quote

It's funny, when Jerry came into the NFL he was the "maverick" owner.............but he is probably the most "Ralph" owner in the league now. He hires lame ducks so he can have control over them. Dan Quinn........the HC who blew the 28 point lead in the SB at his last HC job.........will be a perfect replacement for McCarthy. Just enough of a resumé to prop him up as a winning hire. Quote

Get over the hump maybe. 2 Quote

Even Bob Kraft doesn't dare meddle with him and if anyone should be arrogant about their ability to replace a HC it would be Kraft..........who has hired 3 HC's and all will be in the HOF. I think LAC is the best destination for Belichick. An owner desperate for results and willing to write the check and hand over the power. Plus tons of MILF/GILF action for BB in LA. Quote

Think I might argue for Washington. New owner who’s happy to spend a lot, I believe the most cap space in the league, #2 pick in the draft and like 5 top 100 picks, and some good pieces in place already. 1 1 Quote

He might be just coach and not GM. Commanders fired Rivera Atlanta fired coach McD and Rivera have a good relationship. I could see Rivera being our DC next season if Frazier doesn't come back. I doubt Rivera gets another HC offer next season. 16 hours ago, scuba guy said: No offense but he mite have a heart attack before that. May Day 10 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 I'd take Rivera for one of those "assistant" coach positions. No to coordinator. Very well respected by players I think. Good history with mcdermott Quote

I don’t think they have a RB under contract, Mike Williams is a question mark at this point with all the injuries, and Keenan Allen is quickly approaching the age cliff. Their cap situation is dreadful too. They have the QB sorted out but beyond that it seems like a bit of a tear down may be needed. 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted January 8 Posted January 8 man I have to imagine being the guy who replaces Bill Belichick in New England is going to be one of the most difficult jobs ever. Everything you do is going to be compared to how one of the greatest coaches of all time did it. I hope they get crazy and hire Matt Patricia. That should keep them drafting in the top 10 for a half a decade or so 1 Quote

Personally, I believe there is always an abundance of capable people. There just isn't an efficient way to sort thru the hundreds of options at the college/pro/unemployed levels. The fact that the list of candidates every few years becomes people you'd never heard of 3 years prior bears that out, IMO. That is a fair way of looking at it. Some of the people who end up getting these jobs are just patently unsuitable. But there may well be very suitable people who never get the break to be in that position. Quote
OPDan Posted January 8 Posted January 8 What do you think the chances are that the Bills bring Rivera here? I'm thinking odds are pretty good. Little role reversal and could really benefit both. Quote
Utah John Posted January 8 Posted January 8 17 hours ago, Herc11 said: Las Vegas as well That would be a shame. Their interim coach turned that team around. Really the moral of the story is that you don't want to be the HC of a team that doesn't have a good QB. You can't win otherwise, and if you don't win you're out. Quote
