Strategically so stupid. 

 

It's the Napoleon thing - when your opponent is making a mistake don't interrupt him.

 

The pressure was piling on a young QB who was making mistakes. And you get greedy like that. Jags were in the process of beating themselves. You don't need to be clever there. Easy to say with hindsight, but the reward there was never worth the risk. 

 

 

Edit. Just realised it wasn't a fake - it was a drop.
