mrags Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) So sorry for your loss of Hilda. Always the hardest thing losing a pup. My wife and I were a mess when we lost our 16 year old Shi-poo. Even though she had been getting worse and worse she still loved laying in our laps and being with us all the time, she went very sudden. One minute she was perfectly fine, and the next minute she had had a seizure brought on by a brain tumor. She passed that night. we went a few weeks mourning her. And one day we went to go play with some puppies and found our new little girl. She’s been the light of our lives ever since. And we have no doubt that things happened exactly the way they were meant to. just know that Hilda loved being part of your family and knows you loved her too. And know that Bernard will do the same. Bad Things Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I'm sorry to hear about Hilda. Dogs are the best. That said, I'm happy that you found a new pal! Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted January 2 Posted January 2 (edited) The first pet my wife and I had was Angus, a Scottie mix. He was literally born under the transmitter of the FM station I worked at in Lubbock in the early 80s. Best dog we ever had. My in-laws had a place on the water and Angus would find a stick, a branch, eventually logs, walk out on the pier, nose the piece of wood into the water, dive in to retrieve it, then climb up a ladder to do it again. Over and over for hours. Great dog. Here are my current two, Rosie and Chimi Taken while I'm watching the Bills or Sabres. "We see you have snacks. We like snacks." Dan Darragh Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I remember Hilda telling me that the Jets loss just about finished her, and she'd die happy if we could just squish the fish. 3 Quote
