We scored 48 on the dolphins in week 4 when they were healthy and the Ravens scored 56 on them. Now that they don’t have Philips, Chubb and Howard, one would think that we should easily score 40+ points on them again.

However, this is the NFL and that logic never works

Stopping the Miami offense:

We MUST get stout play from the DL in the run game. It’s so important to be able to stop their ground game and string out those outside zones/tosses and let our LBs play from depth. The second they get caught creeping to try and get an inch of advantage in run support, we open passing windows.

Im pretty confident we’ll see a variation of cloud coverage toward Hill when possible, and we won’t play too much pure man. I’m playing a patient game, and bringing limited pressures, and when I do, they’ll be from safeties and corners and not the LBs.

One important chess piece we no longer have who was huge in that week 4 thrashing is Matt Milano.  Rasul has stepped in nicely for Tre. Daquan is back and looked really good for missing as much time as he did, but Milano is huge in games like these. Interested to see what McD cooks up.

Does Von Miller play in this game?

God I hope not. Especially with Miami being a good running team we don’t want Miller on the field at all IMO. I’d run right at him if he were playing.

Two of those guys will be missing this game too and Bradley Chubb and Xavien howard and possibly waddle and mostert

they have considerably more impactful injuries this meeting than last

Very concerned about this matchup, even more so than the Patriots since it's a road game and the Dolphins are going to be motivated to not only bounce back from an embarrassing outing in Baltimore, but end the Bills season if that's on the table pending the results of the earlier games on Sat/Sun.

If the same team we've seen against the Chargers and Patriots shows up Miami will win and likely win big.

Luckily your team managed to squeak by the Cowboys in the Fraud Bowl with all those FGs so either way your in the Playoffs so don't worry too much.

I’d think the bills would be pretty motivated too if a loss eliminated them and Miami would be far less motivated with a banged up team that already clinched

what if the Miami team that played Baltimore shows up? 😂.  Miami is just too invested in pass rushing specialists and they seem to struggle with mobile qbs that can throw so we’ve always been a tough matchup for them

I'll say this about McD and Allen, I do not envy their situations and the pressure they will be facing if this does in fact end up being a 'win and in' game for the #2 seed/division or lose and miss the playoffs altogether scenario.

Forget about wide right, music city miracle, 13 seconds, etc....this would be the new show stopper in Buffalo sports history for the season to end in that fashion especially against a hated division rival.

With that said, there's zero excuse for this offense to not be ready and/or struggle against Miami's defense considering their current situation but this team never fails to find new lows to sink too unfortunately...

You do realize that everybody on this board is onto your game, right?

Ah yes…sinking to new lows of more than likely winning 5 straight games to steal the division from a team with a 3 game lead and beating three playoff teams along the way 😂

I really think the dolphins are gonna mostly phone it in with so many injuries and a playoff spot clenched tbh…they are not in good shape to get into a dogfight with a win or go home team right now Severely doubt they win a playoff game if they get into a tough game with the bills

I really think it’s in both teams best interest for the bills to be the 2 and the dolphins to rest up and get the wc honestly then go into kc and win….of course no coach will concede the division though 😂

Last year when the Dolphins won against the Bills there was a lot of noice that the Dolphins players were intimated by the Bills and that win carried them the other times they played. I think if the Bills can get out to a 10-0 or 14-0 lead I think there will be a lot of quit on that Dolphins team. Like here we go again: Bills crushing us or another elite team is crushing us.

That's the key imo

Getting Daquan back was huge…the only time the dolphins offense really worked us was when they ran the ball at will in the second matchup last year. I don’t think McDermott has any trouble scheming against tua.  We were loading up on defense to beat the chiefs which has given us some favorable personnel to slow down the dolphins too

It's weird. Last year I thought the Dolphins out-coached the Bills in their two losses and I expected a tougher matchup this week and was happy that didn't happen. Obviously coaches figure each other out (hell, I would of loved to see a no punt against against the Pats). I'm curious on how this game starts. I think Waddle and Mostert will get every pain killer known to man and be out there next week but I don't think Tyreek or Jaylen will be close to 100%

That playoff game always felt really fluky to me..they just sent the house and played man knowing it was their only chance and dodged so many bullets with us just barely missing a ton of deep shots to wide open guys.  That game looked bad in the box score but we were a few inches on a couple deep throws away from a 500 passing yard 6+ TD type game

I think our oline is much better than last year and they are down two huge pass rushing pieces and Xavien Howard as well so they really don’t have any hope of emulating that defensive gameplan…if they were gonna have Ramsey and a healthy Xavien Howard maybe I’d be a little more nervous but we’re almost definitely gonna see Eli Apple

on the defensive side I think we’re better equipped to deal with their speed than most defenses…maybe if both teams were 100% healthy it would be closer but I don’t see a lot of ways Miami wins this one.  They’re fighting an uphill battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball
