After playing around with the playoff simulator, there's a plausible way the Bills miss out that involves only one potential underdog having to win in a group of 8 games over the next two weeks.

Week 17

Bills over pats

Colts over Raiders

Jags over Panthers

Texans over Titans

Steelers over Seahawks

All the teams above are home favourites except for the Steelers who are a 3 pt underdog on the road

Week 18

Dolphins over Bills

Jags over Titans

Steelers over Ravens

Bills likely a small underdog next week. Jags on the road but will still be favoured. Steelers likely playing Ravens backups if Ravens win this week in Miami and will be favoured if so.

Hopefully they take care of business in Miami so all of this is moot.

And before anyone asks, yes I'm fun at parties.

Again….

buffalo splits WL to get to 10 wins they can’t have 2 other WC teams at 10 wins other than Cleveland snd thrmselbes.

the teams  that can get to 10 wins by WW are

Cincinnati. At KC, CLE

Pittsburgh at SEA, at BAL

Jacksonville CAR ( without Lawrence Sunday), at TEN

houston/ Indy where only 1 can due to thrm playing each other in week 18. This week houston has Ten, indy has raiders

both Cincinnati and Pittsburgh have difficult closing schedules to go WW in.  If MIA W, then BAL/CLE are battling for div title and these games are at the same time likely on different networks.

IF JAX L, then only the div winner could have 10 W

If the Bills games follow this, and they beat the Pats, but lose to the Dolphins, the odds the other 6 games fall like this is about 4%. While it’s possible, it’s not very realistic.

Again, Bills will miss unless they win next week. Whatever garbage formula you are looking at doesn't consider that Baltimore is playing their backups vs Pittsburgh

If Baltimore allows Lamar anywhere near the field next week, Harbaugh should be fired.

We can still get in with Titans over Jags too.

Dolphins have a chance next week to finally win the AFC East and eliminate the Bills from the playoffs. With the way we’ve been playing it’s gonna be tough.

Have they sat in the past?

Yes, with not so great results. Wouldn't surprise me if Baltimore plays some starters. Two consecutive bye weeks is a bit much

plenty of teams don’t bench starters

also, Baltimore has won games without Lamar. Heck, pittsburghs starting their backup qb

Yup- not every coach likes two weeks off

Three weeks is a long time to have a player(s) be idle though.

Yeah.  They rested their starters in 2019 and came out flat in the Divisional game.  Let's hope they change their approach.

the cardinals beat the eagles in Philly today.

So he should collect rust for 3 weeks when they’ve lost in the first ripping a few times in the past already?  Gotcha.

Don’t use logic.  He said it’s impossible so it’s impossible.

you know how after a long weekend you are pretty good but like 2 weeks in Europe you barely remember your passwords, yet alone what company you work for.

Great plan other than the actual statistical probability has been determined as around 95% if they beat the Pats.

How's that 95% looking lol
