Ok, for some reason I thought that the Ravens vs Dolphins game was at 4:05. I am stunned that CBS didn't flex that one. Are you really going to tell me that Chiefs v Bengals without Burrow is going to be more exciting?

Not that I mind too much, as it actually lets me use my Sunday Ticket for the Bills, but I find their choices odd.

I soon as I saw the Bears-Falcons game was a CBS game, I knew that was the one we'd get here. Ah well, that just bites.

I see what you did there!

Not a coincidence: the NFL clearly took New Year's Eve into consideration, as there are no Eastern Time zone late or SNF games:

Central Time:

GB-MIN on SNF

CIN-KC 4:25 PM ET

Mountain Time:

LAC-DEN 4:25 PM ET

Pacific Time:

PIT-SEA 4:05 PM ET

Good reason why MIA-BAL was not flexed to SNF, plus it could have been protected by CBS.

Ok, that is the best reason I've heard.

I mean, for us that means that we aren't waiting late to find out where we stand re:having a shot at the division.

Love the Allen island in the middle of Wyoming

I love it - is there any other player in the NFL that changes the map like that?

@chongli due to the weird scheduling for week 18, will your announcer post for next week be delayed a couple days due to not knowing the times and announcers of each game?

Yes, since the Week 18 schedule won't be released until during or right after SNF, there will be delays. Last year the FOX maps came out on the Wednesday, but late, at about 4 PM. They usually come out around 9:30-10:30 AM. And the CBS maps came out Thursday, around 9 AM. Even then, not all maps were pushed out. On that same note, you can expect the broadcaster announcements Monday or even Tuesday, although a few may come trickling in before then as the networks have a few games that don't matter.

The international schedule probably will be known as normal, so there may be a separate thread announcing them.

I am in the Tampa broadcast market so out of luck for both the Bills and Dolphins games.  Maybe I should start a thread about how unfair that is.

That really sucks for you, especially since there is a blackout in your area. The NFL wants you to buy Sunday Ticket. Or a Bills backers bar in your area would have the Bills game. But you could also be me. I get Las Vegas at Indy, San Francisco at Washington, and Cincinnati at KC.

On a related note, I see there are quite a few Tampa Bay area fans here. Awesome.

I guess it's the bar then. I'll have to sit with a bunch of rowdy football fans drinking delicious beer and eating good food that's bad for me. Darn the luck!

Was just kidding, by the way, referencing the hilarious thread started last week to complain about the Peacock only game.  I will probably end up at the local Bills Backers bar, which is hardly a tragedy.  I am sick of the Bucs though, I have to say.

Guess I'm stuck watching Miami vs Baltimore this week.

Buffalo... I'm trusting you here! Just because I take my eyes off of you for one game, doesn't mean you can go out partying & acting all willy nilly with your playoff hopes!
