That's always been the rule in the NFL. Any play started with time on the clock is allowed to finish.

Thanks, I should have known that after watching football since 1970 ! losing my mind as I get older !

Yes, lump, for sure.  When the ball was thrown across the field, there was a moment of terror.   Then, I thought, "don't be silly."  Then, I saw the replay and realized it wasn't silly at all.

That was a pretty good play design. A better block on Benford and he might have had a lane down the sideline.

True, but even if Benford is blocked, it looked like Neal had the angle.
