Seems like every team is trying to relive the music city lateral against us again.

the titans tried it on Monday two seasons ago, chiefs two weeks ago, and now the chargers.

***** all those #######s. hope those organizations fail in the most horrific way

They showed it afterwards, too - and talked about how that lane was open.

That would have been cruel.

I feel like that screenshot is misleading, we had nine defensive backs out there way upfield and Lewis was already getting around a block

I mean...pause the video at 13 seconds (😬) and it's clear that it's not open.

Yep, people are being dramatic about it, but it clearly wasn't open.

ABSOLUTELY….I was there last night and was definitely scanning the entire downfield coverage of the Bills once the laterals started. To my delight, the deep safeties Bills did NOT over pursue.

It is misleading.  There was no lane that would have got him a touchdown.  The blockers were too far ahead, and the blockers are O line blockers, not punt team blockers.  Safeties were also in play, just not in frame.  With the speed we had out there (relatively) there was no way he was getting through.  It's an incredibly low probability play that we covered well.

Yes. Because to execute any throwback touchdown you have to create an overload one side and a couple of short passes with your QB behind to throw the lateral to the open side.... it is good rugby tactics. LAC set it up really well. Didn't execute.

We are talking about that in this thread.

There are 2 posters who are adament that we played this well.

We didn't.

We played it poorly and only had 2 or 3 Bills defenders against 7 Chargers.

Thankfully the Chargers runner hesitated and Neal made a fantastic play to read the cross-field lateral and move to cut off any cutback lane.

Open your eyes. And you just contradicted yourself in the same post. "We played it poorly" but..."Neal made a fantastic play"....LOL....as did Benford by the way ....

That's Neal.

Who I have told you several times is the REAL player who blew up the play (not Benford)

He is the 1 Bill who read this perfectly the entire time.
