But then they are out a timeout. I don’t see the need to burn a timeout before the 2:00 warning when it only saves you 5 or 10 seconds. 

 

Better to burn a timeout when it will save you close to 40 seconds.

i don't think mccarthy is particularly good, but  a guy with a winning pct over 60% and a sb win is always going to get another chance. he is honestly probably a perfectly middle top 15 to 20 coach in the nfl.

What did you want the Cowboys to do on offense to prevent that scenario? The way it played out there is nothing they could have done.

 

Cowboys had not one but 2 or 3 chances to stop them on 3rd down and failed.
