The 49ers lost three in a row. My concerns coming out of last nights game are this -Cook dropped a pass or fumbled in each of the last 4 games that either led to a turnover or missed TD. As great as he’s been, that’s a problem -Josh is under throwing a lot of deep balls and had some short throw accuracy issues as well. It’s not normal for him and I don’t know what’s up -Diggs is not Diggs most of the game. -There’s at least one ST blunder per game it seems. All of those are going to cost us a game we need, and I’m worried when it’s going to happen next. Yes all teams have had flat games this season. The difference is Bills have struggled to top 24 points in 9 out of 15 games. Quote

Cook had a pivotal fumble. The defense let a guy with no experience in the league almost win the game for the Bolts. The only guy that played really well was Oliver. Just admit they sucked yesterday and got lucky. They won’t be that bad every game; I suspect they’ll squish the Fish like Josh always does. But they sucked yesterday and have too many times this year against inferior competition and that’s why they’re in the position they’re in. AMEN! Having a -3 turnover ratio and winning by 2 is indeed lucky, and anyone who doesn't admit we got lucky is delusional. We simply cannot just hand the ball to the other team and expect to win a championship, period, ESPECIALLY at -3 in turnover ratio. 1 Quote

This is correct but the good news is that they seem to play their best against good teams so if the pattern holds and we make the playoffs, we should get their A game and not have to sit through that dreck! Have the Chiefs, the defending super bowl Champs not had "lucky" wins this season? Is there a team outside of maybe the 49ers that are actually hitting on all cylinders right now? I mean, do people really think about what they say before they say it? We were on a short week against a team off an extended time off and more rested, just fired their head coach and were ready to play hard for their interim guy, we went all the way out to the west coast to do this and got everything the Chargers had. Had Staley still been there, I think we would have demolished them. We won, enjoy it. I'm tired of fans complaining after a win. It's Christmas. Have some beer, eat some cookies, watch some football and enjoy yourself. Don't think about how "lucky" we were. By the way, Josh was fine last night. Outside of 1 pick, and a couple of mis throws, he was fine Edited December 24, 2023 by Buffalo03 1 Quote

I'm not so sure they figure it out. The offense has looked very vanilla all season. They last few weeks they have become a run first team that throws the deep ball. Where has the underneath passes gone or the throws across the middle gone. Quote
Process Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 Josh played like crap yesterday. Not going to sweat it too much after a win. Reality? Reality is that every single team in the AFC has major flaws. Get in the playoffs and we have as good of a chance as anyone. Quote

You know the QB on the other team only had 200 yards and 1 TD (none passing) and only because of a ST fumble. You are grossly exaggerating the situation. If you want to call that lucky, then you need to call all the Bills losses by one score lucky for the other teams too. Bills didn’t lucky at all, they went out and won the game on execution not luck. There wasn’t a lucky play that won them the game. Josh and the offense made plays. And I find it even more hilarious that you said Josh sucked (3 TDs) and then praise the Chargers QB (1 TD thanks to a st fumble). Bills were on the road facing a team with new energy from a new coach. This was their SB, the coach and QB literally even said it before the game themselves as they don’t know what future they even have after this season. Bills controlled the game except three turnovers allowed the Chargers to stay in it. But they went out and handled their business on the road and made the plays to win the game when it mattered, something they have struggled with in the past. I swear, some of you piss and moan unless we blow people out, and that’s just not the reality of the NFL. 2 1 1 Quote
MJS Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 Welcome to football. Sometimes your team makes mistakes. Sometimes you have to scratch and claw to get a win. Sometimes bad teams make it close, or even beat good teams. The Bills won. That is the reality. Winning is hard in the NFL. Enjoy it. Heaven knows how sucky losses are, so don't make the wins sucky too. 1 2 Quote

What exactly do you want fans to admit, who are trying to will their team into the playoffs? They lost 4 games with a decimated defense on the opposition’s final possession. ( Denver, Jets, Patriots and Eagles) Our defense was great in must win situations the last 3 weeks, beating the champs, the team that every objective NFL observer was the top offense the last 2 months and overcoming 4 TOs against a highly motivated NFL team on the road. Josh is clutch and when he needed a long drive to win, he stuck it in your ear. You want to puff up your chest and denounce a team that has been flawed and is showing guts and resilience, trying to overcome a down season fine. Please don’t insult this fanbase with calling a win lucky. Wins in the NFL require pride, unity and desire. When we were 6and 6, did you think we would be 9 and 6? You are the poor soul that gave up not the team you’re burying. 1 1 Quote

Success Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 It's a real testament to how spoiled we are not that many here think that was a bad game from JA. He made at least 3 absolutely jaw-dropping throws, and had a solid game overall. 2 very good throws were taken away by ridiculous penalties on what was likely going to be a drive that would have put the game away. It wasn't a great game for him. But it was pretty good. 2 Quote
KingBoots8 Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 The Giants were lucky during their Super Bowl run against an undefeated Patriots. You don’t win on just talent alone- sometimes you get a lucky break, squeak by a team that you had no business beating, or other times you escape a loss against an inferior opponent. We got lucky? So what, every other team that has ever won anything did at some point too. I hope we’re lucky for the next 7 games. I don’t care how it looks, just get the job done. Quote
Bills!Win! Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 THIS ISNT COLLEGE FOOTBALL where Ohio state, Michigan and Alabama can just coast all year long and drop 50 points on every team. These are NFL teams. The best of the best 1 1 Quote

Who on God's green earth thinks they played a good game? They played poorly but found a way to win. Teams that are -3 on turnovers were 2-37 this year. Beating those kind of odds shows the resiliency of the team, not that they played good. You are risking the suspension of your matriculation privileges. 😁 1 Quote

Billy Claude Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 (edited) I have no problem with winning this game ugly. Every team has a bad game sometimes and good teams pull out the win. If this happens again in New England, then they will be a one and done team if they even get into the playoffs. Edited December 24, 2023 by Billy Claude Quote
