I found this surprising/interesting. NFL.com projecting Greg Van Roten to be a pro bowler.  He was with the BIlls last year I think on the PS and was released after TC this year, picked up by the Raiders and has started all year.   We are all happy with the Bills guards this year but I think this shows how much depth they have had.  David Quessenbury has been playing for the Vikings also recently.

Didn't Saffold make the Probowl last year?

This is different from the Saffold situation, Saffold was living off his reputation while Van Roten's reputation was that he was just horrible with the Jets and with the Bills.  If Van Roten actually makes the pro-bowl he has to be having the best year of his career.

PFF rates him as a 76 I know PFF is flawed but there isn’t too many other offensive line stats to go by. He’s allowed 4 sacks which is good not great but has no penalties against him which is great so the other oline stats back up him having a good season. Sometimes players just oddly break out

if we had kept Teller and Van Roten and evaluated LB's properly in the draft we might not have needed to use resources on the line we have now. just sayin.

I don't think you can blame the Bills.  Plenty of other teams had him evaluated him as barely a JAG before the Bills released him.

If the question was "Which former 2022 Bill would make the Pro Bowl", he would have been pretty low on my list.

Saffold made the pro bowl.

He is 33.  Many other teams gave up on him.   He just happens to be having his best year

Exactly.  He was clearly not in the top 4 here during camp and they were better off keeping a younger developmental player.

This was the biggest joke in history haha guy went from supposedly pro bowl talent to unemployed without retiring 😂

If there was an anti pro bowl with the worst players saffold definitely belonged in that

Hey, remember when Tyler Huntley made the Pro Bowl at QB last year?

The Pro Bowl is a joke.

First string ProBowl is not a joke. Being named an alternate and then making the ProBowl because 5 other guys declined is a joke.

Dustin Hopkins may be All-Pro K this year. He is on his fourth team after the BIlls gave up on him.  He was OK with Washington but now is having his best year of his career at age 33.

Teller was not playing like he did in Cleveland here

Professional athletes get a fire lit under their ass.. especially when they're traded and they think the clock is ticking

He went to a better scheme fit and he did not produce at that level here
