Hall is a good player but hes not a game-changer on his own. Guys like CMC and Bakley are probably the only guys talented enough for that. To miss out on Hall was not a big deal to me He was last year. He is coming back from a major injury and plays on a crapfest offense. I think he will have a big bounce back next year when he plays with a real qb and for a real OC. Quote

The issue is, their OLine is decimated with injuries, they can't do anything passing and teams can just basically load the box and stop Hall. 1 Quote
Fleezoid Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Not sure if someone pointed this out, but in Peter King's FMIA Column, he named 7 Offensive Players of the Week. None named James Cook! Egregious! Quote

Sierra Foothills Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 I too believe that Breece Hall is a great player in a bad situation. Still, getting James Cook where we did was great value. The 2022 NFL Draft RB retrospective: Breece Hall 36 Kenneth Walker III 44 James Cook 63 Rachaad White 91 Tyrion Davis-Price 93 Brian Robinson Jr 98 Dameon Pierce 107 Zamir White 122 Isaiah Spiller 123 Pierre Strong Jr 128 Hassan Haskins 131 Tyler Allgeier 151 Snoop Connor 154 Jerome Ford 156 Kyren Williams 164 Ty Chandler 169 Kevin Harris 183 Tyler Badie 196 Keaontay Ingram 201 Trestan Ebner 203 Brittain Brown 250 Isiah Pacheco 251 Quote

Dude is becoming an absolute weapon and Brady is taking advantage. If teams have to respect Josh and Cook, that’s a scary thought for other defenses and huge advantage for the receivers Until he dropped another TD after this post lol. All kidding aside, kid is having his breakout year like many of us expected had it not been for Dorsey not knowing how to use the players on this roster properly Quote

Really? Cook has more rushing yards (albeit just 2) on 10 fewer carries and has 40 rec for 433 yards. Mostert has 24 rec for 171 yards. Grant it Mostert has 18 TDs but as far as scrimmage yards, Cook has him beat Imagine if Cook wasn't neutered the first 10 games of the season. He might be right there with McCaffrey . 1 Quote
PrimeTime101 Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 You know... Its not just the play calls. its the routs he is running. Its Josh Allen pointing this way... no that way is better... Its cook learning when to bounce and when to just dig in for the hard 3 yards.. more important than all this.. Love seeing the variety of C/G Gap... G/T Gap... Sweeps. Pitch outs.. we did it all... This is Josh Allens progression as well... Showing Cook directions he needs to go based on defensive formations.. .Got to love it. Its on film now.. Defenses now have to respect the run more... opens up more Mid tier stuff ... middle of the field. 1 Quote
blacklabel Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 Definitely feels like he's turned a corner. He was a beast yesterday. As soon as defenses tighten up to try and stop him that should allow Josh and the passing game to get rolling. 1 Quote

MrEpsYtown Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 Man, I love the way he is running north-south. Really making one cut and then letting his speed go. This is what we have all been waiting for in terms of a dual-threat weapon. Teams are in trouble if they continue to cover him with linebackers. Hopefully all the debate about Singletary etc finally just goes away. 1 Quote

Beck Water Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 (edited) Did we have this For the record, Shady called Allen becoming a "big star in the league" after his rookie year. Edited December 19, 2023 by Beck Water 1 Quote
The Wiz Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 My favorite thing about Cook from the game was the graphic they used for him. Looks like they didn't know what he looked like with a smile and just tried something. 1 Quote
