In the old days QBs just needed to throw and execute fakes with other QBs "gimmicks".

Dan Marino was a perfect example except his fakes were terrible.

 

Modern QBs need to throw, fake, run, block, and  catch when needed/

Bonus if you can tackle defender who catches;  breaking defender's leg not required.

I'm going to guess at least some of them particularly the TEs have also been involved in blocking, wouldn't be surprised if some of the WRs have been involved downfield.
