Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Is that like 'Fox on the Run'? 1 Quote
Augie Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 (edited) I haven’t gotten NBC for weeks on DTV Streaming. Like when they took away NFLN, my bill has not decreased. While they play their game of chicken, I’m finding replacements for the things I routinely watched on NBC. EDIT: In my mind this is how I justify also keeping DTV Dish. Every once in a while something happens and I need a backup. This would probably be one of those situations, assuming the dish works? I haven’t tried that hard to see if I can get NBC there. . The carriers and networks duke it out in a PR battle. Usually they come to an agreement. 1 Quote

Like you, I’m not getting WXIA, the local Atlanta NBC affiliate. Other than my 7:30 Jeopardy evening wind-down routine, there’s almost nothing I watch on NBC or most of the other broadcast networks. Somebody posts Jeopardy every night on YouTube, so I don’t really miss anything. I’d call and complain to Directv and demand credits, but after prior negotiations I’m already getting a top tier package on 3 TVs for $60/month. Eventually Directv and Mission will work out the contract. I suspect they’re not getting the volume of complaints they used to get in these situations. There’s too many options that allow viewers to get local channels. Stand your ground Directv. 1 Quote

Now I watch CBS Nightly News, and skip Jeopardy. Well done, NBC! I have a new routine! Those were the only things I watched unless they have a sporting event. 1 Quote
notwoz Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Here in the Washington DC area, the dispute between DTV and "Tegna" is keeping our CBS station off the air. Quote
