BuffaloRebound Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Can’t see Hyde playing again. Could see Tre hanging em up too after how much he struggled coming back from the ACL. Maybe Poyer comes back next year but McBeane definitely bringing in a vet starting safety and drafting one in first 4 rounds. Douglas, Benford and Taron will be starting CB’s. Free agent and Poyer/rookie starting safeties. Quote

Matt_In_NH Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 (edited) Based on his comment IR is happening. I would say chance he plays in the playoffs if that is a thing this year else he might be done. Edited December 15, 2023 by Matt_In_NH Quote
KingBoots8 Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I have really grown to like so many of the guys we have on this team. I really want to win this year so some of these guys can go out on top of the mountain. Hyde is deserving of a ring, as is Poyer and White (even if he can’t contribute on the field this season anymore). I don’t think they get another shot at it on this team after February. A lot of long tenured players are probably not coming back after this season… after all the Bills have suffered through I just hope we find a way to finish the job this time. Go Bills. 1 Quote
CaptnCoke11 Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Yeah I think Micah is done. He had a nice career here. Safety will be a huge priority this offseason as we will most likely have two new ones 1 Quote

He's had a terrific 11-year career and will be 33 in a couple of weeks. He's been an all-pro twice (both times for the Bills) along the way. He did very, very well in the NFL, and it's probably time to move onto the next stage of his life. 5 Quote
Big Turk Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 (edited) Nope, he will likely be featured heavily on TV along the sidelines during the upcoming games. So you have not seen the last of him. Edited December 15, 2023 by Big Turk 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I think he will be IR’d and then retire. he absolutely cannot play again. The neck and back injuries and constant stingers are really red flags for his health. Quote
Captain Hindsight Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I hope not as Hyde has been of my favorite players ever since he was in GB. His INT in the perfect game is still on the wildest plays I’ve ever seen live. But as many have said, the economics and his injury may mean this is the end Great player and I will miss watching him play Quote
ALLinALLEN Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 If so and IF hyde, poyer, and tre are all gone....and notwithstanding reid the LS....does that make JA the longest tenured Bill? Quote

SoonerBillsFan Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 He,Poyer and White all need to go this offseason. Both are ruled out for Sunday. Quote
Steptide Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 It's gonna be another defensive draft ain't it Quote

Yep not bad for a 5th rd pick who wasn’t even offered a new deal by the team that drafted him. Bills legend in my mind. Leader on and off the field and hell of a football player. One of the first guys brought in by McDermott. I have a lot of awesome memories of him - pirouette onside kick recovery to Seal the win vs Miami, unbelievable Mac jones int in playoffs… but the one that I think of the most is his reaction to breaking the playoff drought, in the locker room in 2017 in Miami as the team was watching the bengals -ravens game. 2 Quote

Scott7975 Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Possibly back for the playoffs but probably his last year. Father Time is catching him. His neck injury last year was no joke and two stingers this year ain’t good. Also didn’t seem as impactful this year so probably lost a step. this D is getting retooled next year. Sucks for the guys leaving but that’s the business. Quote
Mynamemike Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I think we’ve seen the last of him as a player. Don’t know what his thoughts are on coaching but I’d be happy to see him join the coaching staff. Helleva player, strong leader and seems like a good person all around. Quote
