Spiderweb Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Hyde and Epenesa will both be inactive this week. According to reported comments from McDermott, Hyde is most likely to be IR'd, but nothing has been decided yet. 1 Quote
Warriorspikes51 Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Does this mean he could still be available for the playoffs? 2 2 Quote
strive_for_five_guy Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 If IR’d, my understanding is he’d have to miss four games, but then could return, even if that’s not until playoffs. If put on IR and Bills don’t make playoffs, then very well could be it for him on the field with the Bills. 2 Quote
zow2 Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Shame. While athletically maybe he's not what he used to be...he's super smart out there. Pre-snap he can foresee some plays based on how opponents line up...and helps direct where our defenders should be. 4 6 Quote
LABILLBACKER Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 After this season, I think we've seen the last of our dynamic safety duo. 1 5 11 Quote

Brand J Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 He hasn’t made his typical Micah Hyde plays this year and with yet another neck issue it’s probably smart for him to call it a career. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Bills are starting two new safeties next year. 7 2 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Why did I read the thread title in the same voice as the announcer on the 1960s television 'Batman'. 🤔 2 12 1 Quote
ColoradoBills Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Hyde is an UFA, and the Bills owe $3.4M in a dead void year. With the cap the way it is and his health and age, I don't see him back. 1 1 Quote

Straight Hucklebuck Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 And this year McDermott has had Hyde try and cover 1 vs 1 on the outside, and he's been exposed there. 1 Quote

Dan Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Unfortunately, I think this is the last year Hyde, Poyer and Tre take the field for us. 2 2 Quote
FilthyBeast Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Regardless of whether or not Hyde plays again this year, most know this team is going to look very different next year especially on the defensive side of the ball. I think for sure Hyde, Poyer and White are all gone. Quote

Donuts and Doritos Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 Absolutely. Sad day. Loved Hyde, but sounds like it's over. 1 Quote
