As this season has worn on, I'm one of the last off the Davis bandwagon Now watch him have a HUGE game on Dallas LOL Guess that didn't happen 😕 All zeros today 1 Quote

Xwnyer Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 I like Gabe however not gonna be worth what he will, want. Not having an impact this year Quote
Riverboat Ritchie Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 He’s a good blocker but at best #3. Really wish he came back for the ball on his target. 2 1 Quote
BuffBillsForLife Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 When will Gabe's momma voice her opinion about his lack of usage again? Quote
fergie's ire Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Yeah. Done with him. He can run by people and as a rookie he had great toe drag swag, but he seems to have lost that. The thing that continues to annoy me is he just never seems to fight for a ball. Today seemed typical. The ball was under thrown but it looked like Gabe had slowed, saw the ball, and could have fought back for it...but he just didn't. 3 4 1 1 Quote

Either he should have caught the ball or tried to go through the receiver drawing the flag. I have no idea of the rest of the game but I cannot understand how he was at zeroes again! 1 Quote

I think he's frankly just really stiff and not particularly athletically agile. You have to hit him perfectly in stride or he has to be standing still to make a connection. Great blocker, but his receiving skill set can be easily replaced imo. 1 Quote
HappyDays Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Someone help me understand why any team would pay him more than what the Chiefs paid MVS? What skill set are they paying him for? He can't separate, he has an amateur level catch technique, he doesn't fight for the ball, he can't run short routes... Is someone paying over $10M AAV for a blocking WR? 1 1 Quote
thenorthremembers Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Hes going to get 11.5 million a year or more next year. With the cap going up, I just think thats where a WR of his ability slots in. And no, I dont want him back for that. 1 Quote

DuckyBoys Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 at this point it will be addition by subtraction when Gabe signs elsewhere Hopefully with a division team for too much money Quote
Jerboski Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 The entire receiving core needs to be updated Davis should go, no way I’m paying him what he will want Need to draft a receiver this year, ideally in the first round… it’s a loaded receiver draft 1 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Whatever we are doing is working. And also, we don’t pay this guy yet so it’s to no fault. If he’s helping us get the RBs off then he’s valuable. Also, nobody is going to pay this guy big money so it’s all just the price getting driven down. If this team goes on a run and wins the Super Bowl this year, who cares. Right now this guy is one of ours. Appreciate his skill set and hope he can help us get to where we want to go. The off-season will get here when it gets here. Quote
Cubanmist 1 Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Miami will pick him up since he’s a Florida native. Quote
Scott7975 Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 He's had one good game over the last 6 weeks and that's the one we lost. He has 0 catches in 3 games over that time plus another that he missed. He has 5 more games with 3 catches or less this year. The dude is a good wr3 thats about it. IDGAF about his raw stats. He isn't consistently reliable. Quote
Orlando Buffalo Posted December 24, 2023 Posted December 24, 2023 At this point in the season Gabe is 40th in yards, 8th in TD catches, and blocks better than almost every receiver in league. I do want him back because he helps us be better but he needs to be paid as a high 3 level not a 2. Quote

Top 10 in TD catches and 40th in yards considering there’s 64 starters at WR in the league however says that he’s definitely 2. And that’s with being completely missing for what, 4 games? Quote
