dayman Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 (edited) Idk about the rest of you but it’s basically looking like he’s done. Obviously eating eat huge cap now and in the future, and no signs of ever being a difference maker. Edited December 13, 2023 by dayman 4 7 2 1 1 1 Quote
RiotAct Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 He showed signs of improvement in the Chiefs game. Collapsed the pocket decently on at least a few of his snaps. 11 24 5 Quote
Bruffalo Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Not really much you can do one way or the other. Either he'll bounce back or he won't. It seems like the coaching staff is giving him reps and holding out hope that he'll find his groove again. He's on the team no matter what unless he's brought up on those DV charges. 3 3 2 Quote
KingBoots8 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 No knee brace on Sunday. He looked a hell of a lot more like himself. I think he’s actually going to turn it on in the coming weeks. I doubt he’s gonna be pre-injury level Von, but he certainly looked better this week comparatively speaking 9 13 4 Quote
BADOLBILZ Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Expecting it? Yes done expecting it. I have some degree of optimism that he might get back to being a productive player but that is tempered by the uncertainty of his playing status wrt his DV charge. 2 1 Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 He trusts his knee now as he didn't wear a brace. He will get more and more comfortable and expect him to start contributing more. He still has the burst, needs the bend. 1 1 1 Quote
Mikie2times Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 He's going to be hell bent on restoring his image and the only way to do that is get back to form. This was by far his best game. I expect we will see improvement transpire as the season unfolds, we will have to keep him based on cap hit next year and he will likely have one blowout final 10+ sack year in 2024. Then we will part ways in 2025. 5 Quote
cgang Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I think he is gonna kick some ass this weekend. I don’t know anything about football but I have a feeling. 3 2 3 Quote
Buffalo03 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 He made it to Mahomes twice on Sunday. Maybe he's finally getting there. He caused a near fumble on Mahomes that was called incomplete 1 1 Quote
HurlyBurly51 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Von flashed this week, AJE is hurt, so no, I am not done expecting something out of Von. 4 Quote
JoshAllin Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 (edited) He helped stop KC from taking a 21-17 lead, they only got a field goal that drive instead Edited December 13, 2023 by motorj Quote
zow2 Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Took the darn knee brace off. It tells me he’s gonna stop screwing around with rehab and go 110%. Quote
Rc2catch Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 You’re asking for the ending to the book nobody has finished reading. One sack fumble week 18 to clinch the game if it ends up the big game it could be or some other major impact play and nobody will care he was invisible during this stretch. From the football side of things anyways. 1 Quote

SCBills Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I do not understand why anyone would choose this game, of all the games he’s played this year, to convey this message. He actually affected Mahomes late in the 4th a few times. Looked like he finally started figuring some things out. 3 6 Quote

BBFL Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I’ve been a staunch critic of Von due to his numbers but he didn’t do too bad Sunday. Nothing wow but a definite improvement to where he’s been this season when on the field. Can only hope that improvement continues. 1 Quote
Old Coot Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Announcers also mentioned that coaches switched Von to the other side of the line. 1 Quote

Von is just now starting to come into form from his ACL injury, his recovery time is absolutely normal and what is/was expected. He will not be his old self for a bit more time. The OPs thread / expectations doesn’t take this into consideration, one might ask why the OP doesn’t realize this…, GO BILLS!!! 3 Quote
