I believe that if the Bills finish 3-1 and beat the fins, we will win the division.

Miami could easily go 1-3.  Possibly 0-4 if the Jets defense and Wilson play well.

Miami is really banged up.

It would not be the first time the fins took a nose dive in December.

100%

Dolphins are late season chokers in December.

2023: 1-1, bad loss to Titans already

2022: 0-4, (1-6 if you count January too)

And who can forget the win and you're in against the Bills backups and they lost by 20+ in 2020?

Tua is a good kid, they have a lot of talent. Deserve some respect but I will believe in the Fins when they can win some games when it gets tough.

If the Bills finish 3-1, and the Fins finish 2-2 or better, the Fins win the division, regardless of whether we beat them in wk 18.

We either need to win out… or hope Miami loses 2 of their next 3 games… and THEN we beat them in Miami.

No easy task for Buffalo. Gotta take care  of business.

The math says its possible, but, Bills not a favorite to win the division.  small victory will be to beat the Phins again and knock them down the seeding in the playoffs.

If they beat the dolphins again they are 50/50 to win the division without picking any of the other games on the nyt playoff machine

I still think the Dolphins are good enough to win the division and the get to the superbowl but unfortunately they are getting hit hard with injuries at the worst possible time.

If Tua is truly an MVP candidate he's going to need to take over the rest of the way and put the team on his shoulders or the Bills might very sneak up and steal the division again.

The math says it's still possible to get the bye!

This is wrong.  Head to head is the first tie breaker for the division.  If Bills go 3-1 (with a win at MIA) and Fins go 2-2 (or worse), Bills win the division.

They’ve beaten 2 playoff teams in like 12 tries in the McDaniel tenure with both wins being very fluky early last season.  You think they’re a serious threat to win 3-4 in a row in the playoffs? At the rate they’re goin now it would take them almost 30 games to just beat 4 playoff teams not in a row 😂

tua is not an mvp candidate that is the main problem…he’s getting carried by his skill position players and not elevating the team when things aren’t working perfectly.  Good teams stop your offense from working perfectly

With losing his center Williams for the year, the guy who calls pass protections, and just happened to be the top rated center in the league when he got hurt. that's a significant downgrade to his O-Line.   Do teams start upping the pressure on Tua, esp with Cheetah at less than 100%.

Nope. If the Fins go 2-2, they end at 11-6.  If the Bills go 3-1, they end at 10-7.  There is no tiebreaker.

Yeah Bills don't have enough tiebreakers to make it with 7 losses, 11-6 or bust is the only way I see them making the playoffs.

Or the Fins have to finish 0-4… and we need 2-2 at least (with one of the wins being against Miami).

I know the oddsmakers still have Miami favored to win the division, but that's just silly.  They effectively have a one-game lead and they might not win another game, especially with Tyreek Hill banged up.  There's no way they should be favored by 9 against the Jets on Sunday.  I'll be surprised if we don't take the division.

Nonsense.  The Dolphins could easily finish with only 10 wins, which would put us in at 10-7, assuming we beat them in week 18.

Miami is currently 9-4 and the Bills 7-6. If the Bills go 3-1 (with a win over Miami) and the Dolphins go 1-3 then both would be 10-7 with the Bills having swept the season series. 10-7 could still win them the division.

They’re 84% to get in at 10-7 right now with a loss to Dallas according to the playoff simulator thingies….idk why this ‘we have to win out’ narrative keeps getting pushed especially with all the help we got this weekend.

head to head tiebreaker doesnt always apply in a three way tie for a wildcard scenario too. Assuming we beat the chargers and pats our conference record is not that bad

Dallas is playing great and could beat both the Bills and Dolphins

The Bills should beat the Chargers and patriots, making the Bills 8-8 going into the Miami game.

Besides the Cowboys the Dolphins could lose to the Ravens and Jets making them 9-7 going into the Bills game. If the Bills beat them  and have the same record, Bills win the division

The Bills SHOULD catch Miami at this point. I know that there are no “sure things” but I’d be shocked if the Bills lost to Easton Stick or Bailey Zappe in “must-win” games. This week will be tough but they are playing Dallas at the right time. Last week was a huge emotional win for Dallas vs. their hated rival. This week has to be a bit of a letdown from an emotion standpoint. It’s a bit of a trap game for Dallas.

Miami is not beating the Jets, Baltimore and Dallas. They will lose at least one of those. That means that the Bills play for the division in early January.

Agree. I wish that Miami game would be a referendum on McDermott's future, but it won't be. He's coming back in 2024 no matter what. However if they have a chance at the AFC Division title and his defense blows it again maybe just maybe....
