Like, maybe give him a fresh guaranteed contract. You know that they were talking about Mac Jones being a Hall of Famer, right? 😁 1 Quote
HOUSE Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 The Boston media will fry the next guy.... They can't help it.... Quote
Beast Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 Guy has been a bum when his QB wasn’t named Brady. Brady should get two HOF jackets when it’s all said and done. 1 Quote
RunTheBall Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 I’d love for the Pats* to extend both Mac Jones and Belichick. Both have been complete disasters the past few years. Quote
Kaenon Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 So after all that, it was just always Brady and not Belicheat. Haha. Quote
TheFunPolice Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 (edited) The least the Patriots could do is just cut him loose and not try to play games where they "mutually part ways" but the Patriots still own his rights so that they can stop him from going certain places or demand draft picks from whoever signs him. If that's their angle and I'm Bill I mumble "I'll just keep coaching here" and make them fire me. Belichick gets little to nothing in that "deal." Also, Brandon Staley would make an AMAZING HC in New England! Edited December 13, 2023 by TheFunPolice Quote
TheFunPolice Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 If I was a free agent player or coach I would do everything I could to get into the NFC right now. Multiple 6-7 teams are actually IN the playoffs right now and 5-8 teams have realistic shots, being only 1 game back. Making the playoffs=keeping your job. Plus you gotta be in playoff games to win them. Quote

Honestly, if I were any team, I wouldn’t want bill in my organization. Game has passed him by. He’s still an ok coach, but won’t win you anything. He’d set any organization back probably 5-7 years. It will probably be Mayo. Been talks that he was promised the job so he wouldn’t leave. I myself would like a fresh young O minded coach with Mayo as the DC. The D is pretty decent when healthy and he and Steve done a good job keeping those guys from abandoning ship with this O disaster. Quote

I expect the Chiefs defense to dominate in this one. Quote

I could see this game being like 20-19 with the Pats forcing a bunch of turnovers. 1 Quote
Rocky Landing Posted December 13, 2023 Posted December 13, 2023 As lost as Belichick* seems to have been since Brady*'s departure, one could argue that the loss of legendary O-line coach Dante Scarnecchia was almost equally significant. It's near certainty that "Scar" would have their current, crappy O-line playing at a much higher level. It all starts in the trenches, as they say. Quote

I always wondered how an OL coach could make that big of a difference, but he's an example of how they can. When Brady was there they got him to unretire once and fix the line. That always amazed me. It's like the OL just needed someone to direct them how to block or something? 1 Quote

I always wonder if athletic freak is the way to go on that position. Dude had beastly guys for years who would just anchor down. Now granted, pass rushers are incredibly athletic than they once were but building a pocket a QB can step up into is tried and true. 1 minute ago, Gregg said: Or Washington. Maybe but the pieces are better with the Chargers and Staley is 100% on the outs. 1 Quote
