She didn’t need to “protect” him against the tweet.  The tweet was pointing out Josh missing a wide open Gabe, not

Gabe doing anything wrong.

I think we need to upgrade at WR2.  However.... Waiting for someone to start the next idiotic thread where Diggs needs to be traded cause he can't do it consistently.  It is clear that some of you fans truly hate this team and its players.

Come on now nobody wants OR needs that. It's not like a tiger was gonna eat him, it's just internet people saying mean things. That needs no defense, and quite frankly it brought alot more attention to it by legitimizing it with a response.

Not saying he didn’t get ***** in the aftermath.  But the original tweet wasn’t a critique on Gabe, which is what mama bear decided to chime in about.

Maybe you don’t need it or want it, but her protecting her son is honorable I think. And yes I would always want my mother to defend me. :)

I could be totally wrong, but it seems like Gabe’s production is based off matchup. He’s not the type of player that’s matchup proof unfortunately.
