I never believed that for years until that Championship game the Vikes played Atlanta where Mr. Automatic, Gary Anderson, was perfect on the year until they uttered the words “there’s no way he misses…”

 

Since then there’s been a slew of follies when announcers make the statement of a sure thing. 
 

Like those Air Raid guys tweet says… Got to force Aubrey to kick today if they ever get into scoring territory.

Yes. There was a scramble so Reid and Patty didn’t feel attacked and isolated in “unnecessary” fines.

Boy-oh-boy, BOTH kickers are going to have to be on their game - or hugely lucky.  If the wind in the eastern basin of Lake Erie is anything like the wind going on right now in the eastern basin of Lake Ontario, there will be NO kicking game.  Watch for a lot of Cook and Murray and short passes to the tight ends today.  It is HOWLING up here.

Yeah, I am definitely not a superstitious guy but after watching football for more than 40 years, the jinx works more often than not.  It's crazy.
