You should learn what the word grabbing means.  That wasn’t a grab.

Either way you can't hit a QB in the head.  That includes the front too, not just the back and sides.

I'm not sure if you know this but the defensive player isn't allowed to grab the face mask.  Did you know?

This would have given us 1st and 10, around the 10 yard line.  But since grabbing the face mask isn't a penalty, no reason for me to bring this up.

Love how you see one of the Chiefs cheerleaders come around the corner and she looks terrified and wants to get out of there ASAP! 😂

The refs were on the Bills’ side so let’s all have a big laugh about it.  No favoritism on this site.. none at all.  There are multiple pics of players lining up offside this past week and there was no flag.  This was a tainted win.  It’s all laughs until the Bills are on the other side of this sort of thing.  Then all the crying starts.  You guys cry and cry about rigged this, rigged that yet you’ll take every bad call and laugh about it as long as it’s in your favor.  What a shock!  Lol

How is it tainted when even if that play stood we could’ve won the game 😂

he was wayy Offside dude.  Idk if the unofficial blue line representing the LOS fooled you but these other ‘examples’ of players lined up Offside weren’t nearly as bad. Also, a wr lined up in the slot on the hash mark is going to get wayyy less leeway to begin with.  Not to mention that play was an obvious opi which is what the bills thought the flag was for when it was thrown.

They missed plenty of calls the bills way…the Kincaid holding play was obvious and uncalled, josh took a bunch of hits to the head, diggs got mugged all night

giants win id say you can call tainted but not this one

The crying about officiating here is like a religion.  It went in the Bills favor so it’s all right.  If it went the other way this entire site would be filled with “rigged, bills vs Other team & refs, NFL is scripted” and on and on.  But as of this moment, the NFL isn’t rigged because the Bills benefited from a bad call.  Some fans watch the NFL just to complain about calls and to boast about how the league is rigged.  Yet they watch every game like it’s their job.  Try figuring that one out.

Even Mahomes and Reid weren't arguing that the call itself was bad—they were griping that it was made at a critical point in the game, wiping out a big play. By the rules this was clearly the right call. Has any expert seriously argued otherwise?

Do you have any idea what would happen on this site if the Bills made a play like that, got flagged on it, play called back and they lost the game?  Be real.. the pitchforks would be out in full force along with the “ITS RIGGED!” signs.  I get it.. everything is perfectly fine as long as the Bills benefit from bad calls.

Eh , no. Now, the mob would be out in full force calling for the offending player to be cut immediately etc. The coaching staff would also be skewered for allowing the players to be undisciplined- heck there would be calls for the GM to be fired. Uncalled penalties would also be a topic, but the penalty itself is plain as day. He may as well have been lined up alongside Miller. Easy call, and the great Mahomes had 3 more tries after the penalty to get a first down.

I doubt it…idk why you and Patrick mahomes are conflating ‘obvious penalties’ and ‘ticky tacky judgement calls’. Did anyone blame the refs for calling the 12 men on the broncos game winning fg?  Because that’s how laughably obvious that Offside was

and the flag is thrown before they know the result of the play…if that was an incomplete pass no one would’ve argued the offside its just because the result was cool which shouldn’t matter at all

Apply your role reversal game to the chiefs and let’s say we won on that play with a player comically offside.  They absolutely would be up in arms if it wasn’t called because it was about as obvious as a penalty can get

fanbases get mad when a judgement 50/50 type call doesn’t go their way and it decides a game…what happened Sunday night was not that at all

Forget to say in my post, and I'm sure it's a sentiment echoed by most of the posters here...

The post-game behavior by Mahomes at midfield and the post-game comments by both he and Reid were super bush league. Made them both look like crybaby chumps. They're not even wrong that the refs in the NFL are a serious problem this year. But choosing THIS moment -- when the player actually DID commit a penalty, and an egregiously obvious one at that -- to kvetch about it was a bad look. The Chiefs are quite often the beneficiaries of over-officiousness. The ONE time it bites them in a big moment -- and again, that penalty arguably SHOULD have been called, and it WAS egregious -- they complain the way they did?

And for Mahomes to show the lack of sportsmanship he did in the post-game handshake, when Josh is always so gracious even after crushing losses. Just a bad, pathetic look by him. And thankfully, the NFL media world at large mostly seems to agree. Have seen quite a few voices from all over the spectrum echoing the sentiment that Mahomes and Reid looked like babies for the way they behaved. Personally, I lost a lot of respect for Mahomes last night.

And then after game Mahomes apologized to Josh making sure press knows about it after being told to do so by agent.

Especially with Toney committing two penalties the Offside and a pick that got Kelce wide open, would have been aggravating as hell.

Cam Lewis had the presence of mind to slow down and jump up trying to block/deflect the lateral, but amazingly the ball eluded him.  Had he deflected it, the football would have been a fumble and the Bills could have pounced on it.  That play was great but not without some risk there.

Except it would not have been a fumble since a flag was thrown at the snap.

The good thing about rewatching the game on NFL Network is no Mahones / Reid commercials.

Winner was Levis, which I kind of liked the spirit of it like he certainly had the will if not the actual result. Probably should have been the Allen and the herd but I get it he's already got 4.

Should Bills fans whine about it like the Chiefs HC and QB?

His face mask was pulled down, it is clear as day.  It should have been a face mask or illegal use of hands to the face.  Are you seriously saying that is not a penalty?

You cannot touch the QB's head at all.

Clear as day because you’re a Bills fan.  I know.. he did everything but tackle him to the ground and stomp him in the groin.

No it wasn’t a grab, but it was a penalty by rule.  How does the wordingchange anything?  It doesn’t.

Listen bub, we’ve lost several game over the years thanks to terrible calls.  We’ve won some too.  That’s football.  That’s sports.  That’s life.  Cheer up.  Or don’t. No one cares how sad you are every day.

Thanks.  Was looking for the all 22 on the play.  Anyone have a video they can post?  Or does it have to be screen shots?  Seemed like toney ran right into Benford based on your pics

So you’re crying about what exactly?  That sports fan complain about the refs when calls go against them?  Not sure how I never noticed you before.  I’ll be sure to read your posts in the future.  You’re fun.  Thanks

You don’t think his hand to the face was clear as day?  If not, this also explains a lot

Drama Queen much?

Its clear as day to anyone without a stubborn mind.  Unless you're next going to argue Allen has tourette's and jerks his head down all the time.

If it's grabbed, it's a face mask.  If it's not grabbed, it's illegal use of hands to the face.  You cannot put your hands on a QB's face mask and change the direction of the helmet.

Regardless, it should have been the Bills ball and the Toney play would have never happened.  We should have been 1st and 10 inside the 25 or 15.

How are you arguing it's not a penalty?
