Bills 31-17. Since it’s must win and we are coming off a bye week I like our chances. The Chiefs have not been playing great football all year (although we haven’t either) ybut they are missing some key players and I think we are starting to play better football. I know the Chiefs have urgency to win as well, but it’s not do or die like us.

I asked chatgpt after throwing it some stats and some of coach mcds tendencies and might hopefully pull it off despite it

Offensive Matchup:

  • Bills Offense: They have a potent offense, ranking 4th in total yards and 5th in yards per play. Their balanced attack with the 10th ranked rushing game and 5th in passing can challenge the Chiefs’ defense.
  • Chiefs Defense: Solid but not impenetrable, ranking 4th in total yards allowed and 11th in yards per play. They are particularly vulnerable against the rush (19th).

Defensive Matchup:

  • Chiefs Offense: Also strong, ranking 8th in total yards. Their passing game is potent (8th in pass yards), which could test the Bills' 8th ranked pass defense.
  • Bills Defense: Ranked 12th in total yards allowed, they show more vulnerability against the run (20th) but are relatively stronger against the pass.

Special Teams and Penalties:

  • Both teams have middling special teams performances, but the Chiefs have a perfect FG percentage. Penalties could be a factor, with the Bills tending to incur more.

Coach McDermott's Late Game Tendencies:

  • McDermott's conservative late-game strategies might play a role, especially against a team like the Chiefs that can capitalize on any opening.

Prediction:

  • Considering the strengths and weaknesses of both teams, the likely scenario is a high-scoring, closely contested game. Both teams have strong offenses, but the Bills' slightly better balance between rushing and passing might give them an edge. However, the Chiefs' home advantage and the Bills' late-game conservative play-calling could be crucial factors.

Predicted Score: Bills 31, Chiefs 28

Hard to predict game.  It’s a shame though the coach has to deal with social media and most of the fanbase throwing stones, instead of focusing entirely on game plan and prep.  Disgusting.

No.  What’s disgusting is that we are even in this position to begin with.  The fan base “throwing stones”, has nothing to do with it.  And if a professional making millions of dollars per year can’t tune out the noise to do their job, then you shouldn’t be in that position to begin with. Blaming the fans and social media because you can’t prepare.  Gtfoh with that bs.

No you GTFOH with your bs.

Not everything that has happened with this team falls on McD.  Personnel and its execution.  Gameplan on all three sides.  Injuries. Outside distraction. Weather.  Matchup. Draft picks.

Just a few things that need to go right as well, other than our horribly inept coach, in order to produce a better season.

Well I guess we can agree to disagree.  You are not entirely wrong in some of your assessments. However how much of the blame that goes around is a matter of opinion. It does not necessarily mean that either one of us is wrong.  At this point I certainly don’t want to hear about how Sean has to deal with fans and social media.  I’m tired of excuses.  Either you are or you are not. Maybe they come through today and win out.  Awesome!!  But until that happens I will continue to remain skeptical.

OK, that's enough.  Please take this to the Mc911 thread and stop hijacking this one.  @<bills4life>

Congratulations to all who picked the Bills, well done!  With the final score Bills 20, Chefs 17, the winners are:

Gold - @Gregg 24-17, for a total difference of 1 point (3 points deducted for getting the Chefs score exactly).  Congratulations, a two-time winner!

Bronze - @gonzo1105 23-20, for a total difference of 6 points

See you all next week!
