PFF sees Dotson, when he's on the field, as nearly equal to Fred Warner

This PFF chart indicates that PFF views Dotson's play as nearly as good as All Pro Fred Warner.  Major caveat, Warner has played more than twice as many snaps as Dotson.

The chart is fromm an article about pending free agents who've raised their stock this season.

I was surprised by this bit of ostensible good news in what has mostly been a very disappointing season.

Do the All 22 film-watching gurus of this forum think Dotson has played this well?

As I said in the other Dotson PFF thread. He probably paid someone at PFF so he could cash in on his next contract

PFF favors those on contract years

I'm not as harsh on Dodson as others here are

But no, he is No Way in the same convo as Fred Warner.

If you weren’t already convinced on Dodson, just watch that play where Hurts ran right by him like he was standing still. And he was the damn spy on the play. Dodson and Warner aren’t even in the same universe of player comparisons. They really need to get Dorian Williams going these last few games.

Of course they are - it is those type of players who will pay for their services.

PFF also indicates that i cook nearly as good as Gordon Ramsey, play guitar nearly as good as Eddie Van Halen, and i am nearly as interesting as the Dos Equis guy.

Definitely more interesting than Dos Equis guy since he is imaginary.

Santana Dotson?

Wow that's a name I haven't heard in 20 some years!  He was a good football player, I was a big fan of that Packers team that won the Super Bowl in 96

From what I understand listening to folks who watch and break down the All22 professionally, McD has done a good job (gasp!) minimizing his weakness and putting him in situations that suit his strengths.

So yes, he has been very good this year.

This is very good news for the Commanders.

To have a WR who is also a great LB is quite a chess piece.

Dodson reminds me of Brandon Spikes. Great in the run game and not much else.

I wonder how many times teams try to keep him on the field by not substituting for passing downs…
