dhgold Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 This PFF chart indicates that PFF views Dotson's play as nearly as good as All Pro Fred Warner. Major caveat, Warner has played more than twice as many snaps as Dotson. The chart is fromm an article about pending free agents who've raised their stock this season. I was surprised by this bit of ostensible good news in what has mostly been a very disappointing season. Do the All 22 film-watching gurus of this forum think Dotson has played this well? 1 5 Quote
kkim0904 Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 He cannot make plays when the game is on the line..... I want Dorian William when we play explosive team or a team with mobile QB. 5 1 Quote
Starr Almighty Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 As I said in the other Dotson PFF thread. He probably paid someone at PFF so he could cash in on his next contract 3 Quote

bills742 Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 (edited) Who is Dotson and can he play LB? If so, let's bring him in to replace Dodson. Edited December 6, 2023 by bills742 2 4 1 Quote

billybob71 Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 PFF also indicates that i cook nearly as good as Gordon Ramsey, play guitar nearly as good as Eddie Van Halen, and i am nearly as interesting as the Dos Equis guy. 6 2 2 Quote

I'm not as harsh on Dodson as others here are But no, he is No Way in the same convo as Fred Warner. 1 2 Quote
Blank Stare Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 If you weren’t already convinced on Dodson, just watch that play where Hurts ran right by him like he was standing still. And he was the damn spy on the play. Dodson and Warner aren’t even in the same universe of player comparisons. They really need to get Dorian Williams going these last few games. 5 Quote

Definitely more interesting than Dos Equis guy since he is imaginary. Quote
RiotAct Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 you know, I’ve always really liked PFF. Quote

CSBill Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Dodson's agent, @dhgold already working on that new contract. Well played. Quote

C.Biscuit97 Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Starting to think PFF might not always be reliable. But maybe the 49ers want to save some money next year. 1 Quote
TheyCallMeAndy Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 From what I understand listening to folks who watch and break down the All22 professionally, McD has done a good job (gasp!) minimizing his weakness and putting him in situations that suit his strengths. So yes, he has been very good this year. Quote

This is very good news for the Commanders. To have a WR who is also a great LB is quite a chess piece. 2 Quote
BBFL Posted December 6, 2023 Posted December 6, 2023 Dodson reminds me of Brandon Spikes. Great in the run game and not much else. I wonder how many times teams try to keep him on the field by not substituting for passing downs… Quote
