ngbills Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 ESPN headline - refs under scrutiny for non pi calls. Article is mostly about the chiefs not getting the call last week. Sorry, the bills had a ton of non calls more blatant than that one. Why when the chiefs are impacted it becomes an issue the nfl will be watching. 3 Quote

They went against script and as you can see, is a big deal. Weve been screwed all year, today will be worse. I see the chiefs getting a ton of calls today. 1 Quote
Dubie54 Posted December 10, 2023 Posted December 10, 2023 Why the hell doesn't the NFL have an internal grading system and only the highest graded refs work the SB? The crew should not be announced until the end of the season when the grading system is completed. Therefore in order to work the SB, it is based on performance. For as much revenue that that the NFL generates, it is a very poorly run operation that starts with the overall quality of officiating. Quote

The NFL determines postseason assignments based on a grading system used to evaluate officials' performance every week. The best-graded officials will then be assigned to work playoff games. Officials are on year-to-year contracts and for those who are not up to par, it could mean remediation, a demotion or being asked not to come back the next season. " 1 Quote
RiotAct Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 this crew let a few blatant holds and illegal blocks in the back go, but not turning a blind eye to the clear offensive Offside on that “Home Run Throwback Part 2” was much, much appreciated 1 Quote
