EasternOHBillsFan
Jim Leyland is going into the Baseball Hall of Fame!!! Such amazing news. His World Series championship win in 1997 was bittersweet... he was a special manager. It's been a really rough 2023 in sports, but finally something really positive. So happy for him! https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/39038020/long-manager-jim-leyland-selected-baseball-hall-fame
SinceThe70s
Good for him. A class act and a guy I'd have been more than happy to manage my team.
US Egg
Last of the old school managers. Scowling, smoking and a ready to rumble style, he was a treat. He deserves the honor.

When he left the bottom seemed to fall out and it's never been the same. His buddy Gene Lamont just was NOT it. I'm one of those oddball Buffalo sports/Pirates fans and not Yankees or Indians.

I appreciate a gruff, grousing manager. Too many chirpers nowadays.
