Important to remember that back in 2008 offensive averages weren’t nearly the same as they are today….largely due to the way the NFL has shaped the game through how they call things.  In 2008, 4,000 passing yards made you a top 5 QB yardage wise.  In 2022 you had to have 4,500 plus.  In 2008, 10 QBs finished with a rating above 90, vs 18 last year.  So if you’re doing the same as a guy 15 years ago, you’re actually doing a decent bit worse.

So, how outrageous of a contract does Mike Love sign for with the Jests? 🤔

It is shocking how few franchises know how to scout and develop young QBs.

the Packers are to quarterbacks what the Steelers are to head coaches.

True, but it doesn’t account for the Packers also fleecing the Jets for an aging QB that would ultimately get injured. 😆

Seriously though. It’s impressive how that team has managed to reload and rebuild their rosters around the timelines of young QBs three times in a row. When Favre came in they got him a starting center, then drafted Robert Brooks and Chmura among others. Rodgers got Jordy Nelson, Finley, and Sitton.
