A General Manager at a paper mill makes a lot of money.  Do you think he works all those hours because he loves making paper or is it because they pay him well?  Money is the ultimate factor in every position in every industry.  It seems, for whatever reason, athletes are criticized when money is the top motivator.

NFL players are motivated by money, the fans, the attention, the glory, the rings, their teammates...it's not just one thing.  These players were once little kids and fans once themselves.  If the players didn't really care about the fans, they wouldn't give back so much to the community.

Fans are mentioned all the time in post game conferences.  Allen brought them up after losing to Jacksonville because he felt bad the Bills didn't give them a good product on the field after making that trip.  These guys aren't all just shallow people POS.

You can see it in Allen that he wants to win a Super Bowl for the fans and city of Buffalo.

Correct, but the original point was players are allowed to take care of their bodies/minds/spirits.

Another poster made comments expressing disagreement that players get 4 days off during a bye week and used the value of a contract for reasons why they shouldn’t. That sparked the comments from some of us.

The worst part is that the Bills literally can't afford to cut him straightaway.

The man has been a non-factor this year. It's time to move on.

Oh he’s been a factor.  Every time he’s on the field the Bills get gashed.

Maybe, maybe not.  Depends what other evidence (911,  photos, security cams) is available.   But there is a good chance that it goes away if she doesn’t cooperate.

95% of the time it is dropped.  All you have is body cam and uncooperative witness statements, and a prosecutor realizes that with only that at trial they will lose, even if they are and know they are right to prosecute.  Sad to say

the prosecutor will need much more, like you said, security cams, but then getting it and having it be admissible isnt an easy task for a prosecutor

Woof.  Not good.  Not the end of the world, but not good.  Video might make it a little tougher for Mr. Green to help Miller out of this one.

Not good is an understatement.  If any part of this is true, esp the grabbing of the neck, then Terry has to move to cut him.

They said this happened on Wednesday. What I want to know is why was Von in Dallas and not practicing with the team. It's not like he doesn't need the reps. Are we off because of the bye week?

How can we get out of this bad contract? This guy looks like a shell of the player he was before the injury. Now he’s back and a $20 million cap hit . Beane has overpaid some of our veterans who have not been productive. If he has any chance to offload this guy it would be a feather in his cap.

A 911 call + security cam video might do the trick here.  But yes, I agree with you, a non-cooperating victim typically will lead to a motion to dismiss.

It was designed to get out of after 3 years and I understand why he made the signing. Clearly, we needed pass rush help. So, yes while he can be blamed. It should also be understood the reason he made the move in the first place

Beane drafts 3 DEs in the first 2 rounds and then signs a 32 year old DE coming off a major injury to a 6 year $114 million contract.

 What a ***** wizard

Im wondering what the Bills are doing at this point.  How do you go about an investigation for cases like this? Thats got to be a serious headache for them to deal with beyond the super migraine that this season has become!
